Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Virudhunagar also known as KCET Virudhunagar was established in the year 1998. KCET provides courses including a total of 21 specialisation programmes in the B.E /B.Tech, ME/ M.Tech and Ph.D degree courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. For admissions to the UG and PG courses TNEA, TANCET, and GATE entrance exams followed by a counselling round are accepted by KCET Virudhunagar and a written test followed by a personal interview for doctoral courses.

According to the data provided by the NIRF 2024, in the KCET placements drive 2023 about 341 UG students were placed with Rs 3,36,000 LPA being offered as KCET median salary. Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls	Amount of scholarship that is a tuition fee of Rs. 30,000 or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2,000 per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.	This scholarship is for girl candidates who have taken admission to the diploma/degree course at AICTE approved institution/college. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.8 Lakhs. Up to two girls per family can apply for the scholarship.
AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Degree)	Rs. 50,000 per annum	Candidates should be pursuing a full-time degree-level course Annual family income should not be more than Rs. 8 lakhs Should belong to one of the following categories: Orphan/either or both parents died due to Covid-19/wards of armed forces and central paramilitary forces
