NIFT Kolkata Facilities

National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata boasts outstanding and cutting-edge infrastructure and amenities, consistently updated with the latest technologies to keep students informed about the most current trends, enabling them to achieve their best. Presently, NIFT Kolkata has approximately 950 students as part of its community and a wide range of resources available to every NIFT student. These resources are aimed at helping students acquire knowledge and skills in our fast-paced society.

The campus is purposefully designed to meet the requirements of a creative education. The building includes separate theory studios equipped with LCD projectors and workshops. Students have access to IT Labs and a well-stocked Resource Center, which houses an extensive and unique collection of books, journals, magazines, and samples from both national and international sources relevant to the fashion industry. Below is the list of facilities available at NIFT, Kolkata.

Girls Hostel
The institute provides hostel facilities for girl students. All the basic amenities are available like electricity, water supply, security, etc. The institute provides fully furnished rooms to the students. Various sports facilities are also provided like badminton, table tennis, and volleyball. Sickroom is also available for the students. NIFT Kolkata provides transport facilities from the hostel to campus. A total of 228 students are accommodated by the hostel.
Wifi
The entire campus and hostel is 24-hour wifi and wired connectivity enabled.
Library
NIFT Kolkata library has a large number of books and other resources for the students. There is a resource center in the institute which can be accessed by the students. This center has a huge collection of books,m journals, and magazines. Apart from this it also has samples of national and international levels related to the fashion industry.
Laboratories
The college provides departmental laboratories. This ensures that the students have practical knowledge and hands-on experience. The laboratories present in the institute include photo labs/studios, pattern making/draping labs, flatbed knitting labs, computerized knitting labs, design studios, weaving labs, leather processing labs, etc.
Auditorium
National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata infrastructure includes the auditorium. It is used for conducting various activities. Apart from this NIFT Kolkata also has seminar halls.
Cafeteria
Healthy and delicious meals are provided to the students and staff of the university by the cafeteria. The campus canteen has a kiosk for tea and snacks.
Medical/Hospital
The institute provides medical facilities to the students. A doctor, a nurse, and a psychologist are present on campus.
I.T Infrastructure
National Institute of Fashion Technology Kolkata provides modern IT infrastructure to its students. The computer facilities help the students in having a better learning experience. Students can access the IT labs.
Gym
NIFT Kolkata facilities include a gymnasium. It is equipped with modern equipment and machines.
Sports
The university has sports events as well as many sports facilities for the students. These facilities include courts and fields for badminton, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, etc.
Alumni Associations
As leading agents of change, NIFT Alumni are reconfiguring the institute’s constellation of achievements and success stories. The alumni are adding value in different work scenarios, both in India and overseas. About 23050 alumni are working with the industry in key decision-making positions and are instrumental in shaping the future of the fashion business. Some of them are brands themselves. NIFT alumni are also actively taking their knowledge to the grassroots levels, working towards the enhancement of the craft pockets of the country. The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

College Infrastructure

The College premises is quite small but enough. Has abundant resources and anything and everything a student needs. The building is old but very elegant and neatly kept. Extremely hygienic and hospitable.

It's a truly wholesome experience.

College Infrastructure

NIFT Kolkata has all the necessary facilities. The classrooms are very spacious and the labs have all the necessary tools. The hostel is maintained and has free Wi-Fi facility. The canteen and mess food is also great.

College Infrastructure

NIFT Kolkata has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms are very spacious. The labs have all the necessary tools and equipments. The girl's hostel is well maintained with free WiFi facilities. The canteen and mess food is also great!
