if you are applying to flying batch of Indian Air force then you are required to complete your 12th with mathematics and physics. The minimum height required for flying branches 162.5. You has also score at least 60% marks in the graduation which is of minimum 3 year duration.

I have done my 12th with commerce + IP after that and currently Im doing BCA after that Ive planned do BE computer engineering through lateral entry so my question is that if I done BE computer engineering through lateral so will it make eligible for IAF flying branch or PCM in 12th is compulsory?
Hello student I'm sorry to inform you but no you're not eligible for IAF flying branch. As per eligibility criteria Candidates must completed class 12 in Physics and Mathematics with 60 percent marks in each.
Graduation - Three year graduation in any discipline with minimum 60 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board or BE /BTECH from (four year course) with minimum 60 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.

To become a officer in IAF there are many ways right after 12th and graduation After passing 12th you can appear for UPSC NDA/NA exam conducted by UPSC twice a year but for IAF you must have Physics & Mathematics as one of the subjects.You can get the detailed notification about it from official website of UPSC.
After Graduation there are many ways you can become officer in IAF
- UPSC CDS conducted by UPSC twice a year like NDA for this you must have studied Physics & Mathmatics and Graduation Degree in any stream is applicable.
- AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Tes) conducted by AIR FORCE it self with the help of C-DAC for this your eduactional qualification should be 12th with Physics & MAthesmatics with 50% in ecah yes here is percentage bar and Graduation in any stream with atlest 60%.

The height required for IAF pilot is 162.5 CM i.e.5 feet.3.976 inches. As you have 5.38 feet in height then there is a chance for you to get for the physical fitness for IAF pilot recruitment. Pilot is 15 to 24 years. The weight is minimum 46 and maximum 82 kgs. Weight should be matched with height as the height grows the weight should be the with these growing height. Eyesight acquity should be 6 by 6 in one eye and 6/9in another eye correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia.
