I AM A PCMB STUDENT . I WANT TO KNOW THAT IF IN KVPY SX EXAM I DONT ATTEMPT PHYSICS IN PART 1 AND PART 2 , CAN I STILL GET A COURSE IN PHYSICS IN IISC BANGALORE ?
If you entirely jump the portions of physics then you might get lower ranks as compared to the others which may be dangerous for your dream to study in IISC. So I would recommend you if you have problems with Physics you should try to resolve it. Hypothetically, if you get a chance in IISC Bangalore without attempting Physics then also you will need the basic foundations of Physics in order to sustain your course work at IISC. So you should study physics and try to attempt as much as you can.
I hope you get my point. All the very best for your future endeavors!
IS it compulsory to give KVPY SX exam in PCM format to study physics in IISC or giving it in PCB format will also provide the above mentioned chance? Iam a PCMB student, sir.
hi,
no there is no restriction to choose pcb or pcm, In questions of SB and SX , there will be four sections in Part I (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) and four sections in Part II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics). Candidates may answer any THREE of the four subjects in Part I and any TWO of the four subjects in Part II. In case candidate attempts more sections, best of three in Part I and best of two in Part II is considered.
is kvpy sx and sb exam is same question paper or not?
HELLO
No, kvpy sx is for students who are enrolled into 12th standard and kvpy sb is for students who are enrolled into 1st year bachelors program and hence obviously the question papers are different from one another. there is another exam known as kvpy sa, it is for the students enrolled in 11th grade. ALL THE BEST!
how much marks in kvpy sx is required for iisc
Hello aspirant,
One needs to pass 10+2 or equivalent exam to apply for IISC Bangalore admission. The student needs to study PCM in Class 12. A minimum of 60% score is required in the qualifying examination .
I hope that this will help.
What is the Kvpy SX eligibility criteria ?
Hi reader ,
the eligiblity criteria for KVPY sx is as follows:

Do class 10 marks count in kvpy SX
Hey student,
This stream is for Students enrolled in 12th Standard (Science subjects) during the current year and aspiring to join an Undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B. Stat.)
And answer to your question is-
Yes, your class 10th marks are important for KVPY examination.
All the best student,
Hope this helps you.
I want to be a physicist but my parents want me to be a doctor! So Im in tense that what should I do now. Can anyone please do a comparison between this two lines and suggest me a line? I like Biology and physics both. In Bio 97% and in psc 95% (10th board)?
Hope you are doing well.
See both the streams are very different from each other.
I am telling about both of them one by one :
For becoming a doctor you have to do a lot of hardwork. First you have to clear Neet ug, which is one of the most difficult exams in India, For getting a government medical college, you need atleast 600+ marks out of 720. Only 10 to 15 thousand students get the government seat out of lakhs of students appearing for the exam.
Government seats are important because of the fees, Where you complete your mbbs within 1 or 2 lakh in any government college, you complete the same within 1 crore in a private college. However If you can afford this much it is completely fine.
Now, for becoming a physicist, you have to do Bsc. Physics hons. and then msc and then Phd. Only bsc does not have much scope nowadays. So to complete all these, it requires a lot of time. There is so much scope after becoming a physicist,,, you can become a scientist, professor, etc.
So it completely depends upon your interest. If you believe that you can become a better physicist than a doctor so go for it only.
If you want to prepare for Neet here are some tips for it :

All the best
