Are PGDM and MBA one and the same? If no what is the difference and which is the preferred one. Thanks in advance.
Hello aspirant,
It is incorrect to say that PGDM and MBA are identical courses because PGDM is a diploma programme and MBA is a degree programme. However, in terms of their curricula, specialisations, and fundamental topics, they are fairly comparable to one another.
After completing an MBA programme, students have two options: they can pursue a Ph.D. in management or enrol in the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). Diploma holders, however, are not qualified for Ph.D. programmes; only those with an MBA are.

I pursuing my b.com 2nd year and I dont know what to do after that and I have interest in marketing and I have come over PGDM course and CFA course should I do or not . which course is better
Hello,
First of all, no need to worry. It's common to not know what you want to do. However, It's great you have interest in marketing which opens up an option for you pursue something in your interested field.
PGDM is a management course that covers various aspects of business, including marketing. It can provide you with a broad understanding of management principles and skills which can be beneficial for a career in marketing.
However, CFA is a certification for finance professionals. It focused more on financial management and analysis, investment management, etc. I will recommend you to pursue this only if you have interest in finance.
From my recommendation, you should go for PGDM as it will open up career opportunities in your field of interest.
I hope this helps,
Thank you
doing pgdm from ugc is better or doing from aicte is better and why?
Hello,
For MBA programs, UGC recognition is important, but AICTE approval is optional. On the other hand, for PGDM courses, AICTE approval is mandatory, and UGC approval is not required since PGDM is conferred by institutes and not universities. PGDM courses are generally not considered equivalent to an MBA degree, unless the awarding institution is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
Hope this helps,
Thank you
Cat percentile 2023- 84.41, Female, General, Work Experience- 1 year at Telecom industry, B.tech(CSE). QA-88 percentile, LIDR- 45 percentile, VARC-88 percentile. Which MBA/PGDM colleges should I go for? Would I get into GIM GOA?
Hello,
With your CAT percentile and work experience in the telecom industry, you have a good chance of getting admission to some reputed MBA/PGDM colleges. While I do not have access to specific admission criteria for each college, I can provide some general guidance. GIM Goa, or Goa Institute of Management, is a well-regarded B-school. Your CAT percentile and work experience make you a competitive candidate for admission. However, admission decisions also depend on various other factors like academic records, extracurricular activities, and performance in the selection process, which includes group discussions and personal interviews.
Hope this helps you,

how many exams are there for mba or pgdm entrance test
Hello aspirant,
The CAT, GMAT, NMAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, CMAT, IBSAT, and TISSNET are just a few of the nationalised MBA entrance tests offered in India. While a smaller number of B-schools in India and outside accept exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, etc., a greater number of B-schools accept GMAT. The benefit of taking the GMAT admission exam is that it allows the applicant to apply to business schools worldwide. An MBA candidate may choose to pursue their studies by taking one of the top state-level MBA entrance exams, such as the MAH MBA CET, AP ICET, TS ICET, KMAT Kerala, etc.
