which is the best option CIVIL ENGINEERING in GCE-SALEM or PRODUCTION ENGINEERING in GCT- COIMBATORE?
Dear Aspirant,
The first thing you should consider is the two branches are really different and have different job prospects. The civil engineering jobs are very few in the market and are limited to the government sectors. So if you want to pursue government sectos jobs which are limited then you should opt for civil engineering,
However, Production engineering has a good number of jobs as compared to Civil engineering and the current market when restored post COVID will have even more opportunities for the production engineering so If you want then you should go with Production.
Hope this helps. Thank you.

As per previous years cutoff there is a chance for your preference. Best of luck.
Can i get JEC (production engineering) as per previous year cutoff?? It shows 1lakh - 1.41 lakh?? Is it a good branch
It seems you are asking about Jabalpur Engineering College cause Jaipur Engineering College as you have tagged doens't offer Production Engineering in B.Tech. if we go through the cutoffs of last few years' then, for general category home state quota candidates the closing rank was around 1.41 lakhs. The placement for Production Engineering is average. The Companies which recruit Production Engineers from Jabalpur Engineering College offer around 2 to 3 lpa. L&T, Ispat, Adani group etc recruit Production Engineers from the college. Almost 60% students every year placed from this branch. The course is backed up renowned faculties.
Thx for the help one of your guys told about Production Engineering ? plz tell more about it ..Can i get production engineering branch in JEC as per previous cutoff?? Is RGPV gud college or it really highest salary only 22000 per month
According to Wikipedia production engineering also known Manufacturing engineering defined as a " branch of professional engineering that shares many common concepts and ideas with other fields of engineering such as mechanical, chemical, electrical, and industrial engineering. Manufacturing engineering requires the ability to plan the practices of manufacturing; to research and to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment; and to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital."
You can have its detail on https://g.co/kgs/s239Ab.
The cut-off of previous year in BE Industrial and Production engineering was 16530 for general and 28124 for obc.
Salary would range from 3 to 6LPA however the range would vary basis location and organisation etc.
If you have done your academic course from a premiere institute it starts from 8LPA to 10.5LPA.

Im now pursuing my production engineering course and have a passion in automobilefield. many advise me to not to pursue my PG as automobile engineering due to lack of jobs and scope. so my question is, whether should I do AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING (MS) or AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING (ME) or go with my core
Hey there,
Greetings!
Hope you’re having a great day.
I would like to inform you that it is of course better if you opt for Master of Science from a foreign university in a country like USA or Germany because the demand for this field is increasing day by day except for the fact that automobile industry business in India is at an exponential downfall in a few years from now.
Choose wisely according to your field of interest.
Let me know if you have further clarifications by mentioning it in the comment section below.
Have a nice day!
Wish that you have a bright future ahead.
Thanks.

Hai sir my CR=1634 and my GR= 9357 . Sir may I get seat in MIT for EEE or Production engineering please tell. Sir
Madras Institute of Technology is a prestigious institute and with your ranks, you have good chances of getting admission here.
The cut-off for this year has not been released yet but we can consider the previous year's cut-off for a rough idea.
Considering the 2018 cut-off, you can get Production Engineering based on your category rank. The cut-off in Production Engineering for general category was 5493 in 2018 and it was lower for reserved categories so you have good chances in that.
Based on your general rank, you might be able to get B.Tech Rubber and Plastic Technology Engineering.
However, you have chances of getting almost every field with your category rank as the cut-offs almost go upto 10000 rank.

1147 cml rank and 253 rank in bc 2 category in state merit list, can i get production engineering in bit sindri?
Congratulations for your result.
With this rank you can get production engineering but not in the 1st counseling,it may take 2 nd round.
Last year closing rank for production engineering was about cml 1150 for a general category students.
So on that basis you can get production engineering with your category rank.
The cut-off may vary this time to a large extent since this is the first time bit sindri is taking admission through jee mains.
But according to the previous year cutoff and present scenario you can get production engineering till 2nd round of counseling.
All the best!!!
Are there any chances to get COEP or VJTI for production engineering in 2nd and 3rd round sc rank-5500 general rank 60000
According to previous year cutoff trends, you are unlikely to get admission with this rank. Last year, admissions to COEP and VJTI for Production Engineering closed at ranks of around 9000 and 14000 respectively in round 4 for the SC category. These are general ranks that I am referring to. However, cutoffs may vary this year. To be on the safer side, do look for other college options.
All the best!
