I have been working with my father in his retail medical store. Can i include this as my work experience in CAT ??
Hello aspirant,
It is recognised as job experience for admission if you can provide correct pay stubs for the time you worked. Even if you don't have any pay stubs, a letter on the business' letterhead outlining your duties and work there ought to suffice as evidence of prior employment.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you
I have a record of only 84% and 78% in class 10 and 12 respectively. Iam from the ST category and I just wanted to know is it possible to get crack the top IIMs or preferably FMS ? And if yes what would be the pecentile required in CAT.
Hello Aspirant,
As you are a ST candidate so you definitely going to have a reservation benefit in your selection. Now with the academic record you have mentioned in the question if you are able to secure 91+ percentile then you would have good chances to get a call from top IIMs.
To make you more clear let me give you a brief explanation of admission criteria of some top IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore.... :-

Good Luck!!
With 95% in 10th, 88% in 12th, 70% in Bcom, CA qualified and 3 years work experience, would 99 percentile be enough for a call from IIM ABC? Or near 100 will only suffice?
Hello,
Yes, 99 and 99+ percentile students with a good profile have more chances of getting a call from IIM ABC. The call is based on your profile and it seems to be good then you might get a call. Moreover, you have work experience it will add extra benefits.
I would like to ask my chances of getting call from iim and what percentile would be decent to crack? 12th~ 88 percent (com with maths) 10th ~74 percent graduation approx ~78percent undergraduate degree-ba programme( economics) from du in category- general no work experience cfa level1 cleared
Hello Aspirant,
See it is quite difficult to predict your chances from any particular IIM because you don't have your CAT percentile but yes as per the analysis of current data with the academic record which you have mentioned in the question you should have at least 99+ percentile in CAT for top IIMs such as IIM A/B/C/L and for average IIMs 96+ percentile would also work.
Let me make you more clear with the admission criteria of IIMs by taking an example of top most IIM i.e. IIM Ahmedabad :-

I am graduated in B.A from sol du I have little work experience in telesales and I have financial problems in my family, I was wasted 4 years for searched a normal job, also I have to study but I cant b,coz my family has more distraction how can I change my life? how to choose my career?pls guide me
First of all I think it's very important that you take care of your emotional and mental well-being, do yoga and meditation on a daily basis, this will help you calm down and until you have that calmness you won't have any clarity on how to deal with issues in life, due to this pandemic work from home opportunities are there so try to sign up for job portals like LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri.com etc and try searching for jobs as per your interest, you can also learn some in demand courses which can help you improving your career as well as finances such as graphing designing, digital marketing, web development etc, and you can also work as a freelancer once you learn this course, so don't lose hope, be consistent in your efforts and you will surely succeed, just remember one thing that you cannot take care of your family until you take care of your wellbeing first, a mindset to deal with the challenges and overcoming that is important to inculcate,
so make that a priority first, everything else will just follow as you put efforts.
All the very best!
