The Maharashtra HSC exam pattern has undergone some changes as per the Maharashtra board. These changes will also be implemented in the current session. Here are the modifications introduced in the Maharashtra HSC 2024 exam pattern:
- The new exam pattern includes the addition of multiple-choice questions, which account for 25% of the total questions.
- The aggregate mark for the class 12th exam has been reduced from 650 to 600.
- An internal assessment or practical segment has been incorporated into all subjects. In each subject, 80 marks are allocated for theory, with the exam taking place at the end of the year. Out of the remaining 20 marks, 5 marks are assigned to listening skills, 5 marks to oratory skills, and the remaining 10 marks are dedicated to any practical activity relevant to the subject.

In regard to your question, if it is the Maharashtra HSC Board that you're mentioning, then as per the revised Maharashtra Board 12th exam pattern 2020, the board has modified the evaluation scheme by adding 25% Objective type questions from the next session.
The changes have also been made in the total marks of the 12th board exam. The total marks of the Maharashtra 12th board have been increased to 650 from 600.

- Mathematics - 100 Marks (80+20)
- Physics/Chemistry/Biology - (70+30)
- English/Marathi/Hindi - (80+20)
- 50 marks will be allotted for Extra Curricular Activities and will be sent by the school

Maharashtra HSC board percentage are calculated out of 650 marks.
- Mathematics - Written paper of 80 Marks and Practical of 20 marks
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology ) - Written paper of 70 marks and Practical (all subjects different) of 30 marks
- Languages ( English, Marathi, Hindi) - Written paper of 80 Marks and Practical of 20 marks
- *50 marks will be sent from school for Extra curricular activities.
