Entrance Exams Accepted by IPE

Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), accepts applications based on common entrance exams conducted across all over India, as there is no separate exam held by the institute for instigating the admission process for prospective students. The admission process eligibility criterion for every applicant remains the same in terms of entrance exams accepted by IPE for all the courses available in the institution. The basic eligibility criteria require prospective applicants to appear for the common national entrance exams held each year. The scores obtained by the applicant in the said entrance exams act as the shortlisting parameter in the admission process.

The stated common national entrance exams that are accepted by IPE for the recent admission intake, consist of computer-based tests, assessing the students’ competency in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension. These entrance exams are the preliminary requirement for initiating the admission process at IPE for different offered courses. Hello Deepika,

If you’ve successfully taken the AP EAMCET, but you did not get a rank and your IPE marks have not been taken into consideration, it is possible that you did not accurately submit your data. Here’s what to do:

  1. Check the Submission of Your IPE Marks: Please confirm that you included your Intermediate Hall Ticket Number correctly when filling out the AP EAMCET application; if you forgot, your IPE marks may not have been considered.
  2. Contact AP EAMCET Helpdesk: Contact the AP EAMCET helpdesk officially or email Help Desk EAMCET (mailto:helpdeskapeapcet@apsche.org) with your hall ticket number.
  3. Raise a Grievance: You can also check in the official AP EAPCET website to see if there is a possibility to raise a grievance over rank or marks.
  4. Documentation: Have your Intermediate marks memo, EAMCET hall ticket, and application form ready when you contact them.

Hello,

Scoring 37 in the EAMCET 2025 and being classified as disqualified with no rank shown suggests that you probably did not achieve the minimum qualifying marks needed for your category, usually 40 out of 160 for candidates in the general category.

Consequently, your strong IPE marks will not be factored into the ranking unless you pass the EAMCET exam. In EAMCET, the ultimate rank is determined by integrating 75% of EAMCET scores and 25% of IPE scores. This integration occurs only if a candidate passes the entrance exam. In your situation, as you are disqualified and no rank appears, the IPE marks are excluded from the calculation. In the third phase of counseling, participation is restricted to candidates who possess valid ranks.

To verify if your IPE marks have been added or to understand your eligibility for counselling, you need to reach out to the official EAMCET helpdesk or your local counselling center. They can confirm your status with your hall ticket number and inform you of your options, including potential alternative admissions via management quota or other state-level counselling methods.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Alright, so with a JEE Main CRL rank of 95,000, an EAPCET rank of 11,900, and 994/1000 in IPE, you're in a pretty decent spot overall. Since you’re from the General-EWS category, that gives you a slight advantage too.

Now, for EAPCET-based admissions into these colleges, especially for popular branches like CSE, the cutoff ranks are usually pretty tight. In most cases, CSE at CBIT and Vasavi tends to close within the top 3,000 to 4,000 ranks. For VNR, it stretches a little more, but even then, CSE might close around 5,000 to 6,000. Since your EAPCET rank is around 11,900, it’s going to be hard to get CSE in these colleges through the regular counselling route.

But here’s where the B-category comes in—this is where colleges take in students based on JEE Main scores, management quota, or sometimes directly. Your JEE Main rank of 95,000 isn’t exactly top-tier for CSE at CBIT or Vasavi, but for IT or even ECE, you might actually have a pretty decent shot, especially if you apply early and stay proactive.

So realistically speaking, getting CSE in CBIT or Vasavi under B-category might be tough, but IT or related branches are definitely possible. VNR VJIET might be slightly more relaxed compared to the other two, so you’ve got better chances there, especially for IT or ECE.

I’d suggest applying for B-category seats in all three colleges, and while keeping your hopes up for CSE, definitely stay open to IT. It’s super close in curriculum and career scope, and you can always work towards CS profiles later through internships and skills.

All the best!

Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) Hyderabad is approved by AICTE and AIU, and its PGDM is considered equivalent to an MBA. This makes you eligible for most government and PSU jobs. The institute also has NBA accreditation, which is valid for specific programs. Although it doesn’t have NAAC accreditation, that usually doesn’t affect your eligibility for PSU jobs. Most PSUs focus on AICTE and AIU approval.

With a Stream 1 rank of 462 in SASTRA University and 96.98 percentile in JEE Main 2025, you have a very high chance of getting Computer Science (CS) or CS with specialization.
