On Question asked by student community
Hey Vaishnavi,
With an EAPCET rank of 3266 and IPE marks 974 under the EWS category, you do have a decent chance of getting admission into BPT in government colleges like Osmania or NIMS Hyderabad, but it mainly depends on the cutoff trend of that particular year and how many seats are available for EWS. Usually, for highly reputed colleges like NIMS, the cutoff rank tends to be much lower, so it might be slightly tough there. But for Osmania and other government colleges, your rank + IPE score combination keeps you in a competitive position. I’d suggest you keep an eye on the previous year cutoffs and also fill in multiple options during counselling to improve your chances.
Good afternoon. If you mean IPE (Intermediate Public Examination) marks 980/1000 in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, then the CSE B.Tech fee depends on your EAMCET rank and whether you’re admitted under:
1. Government category (Convener quota via EAMCET) – Fee is fixed by the state government for that college type:
Govt engineering colleges: 10,000–35,000/year.
Private colleges (Category A): 45,000–1,35,000/year depending on the fee structure approved by AFRC.
2. Management quota – Usually 1.5–2.5 lakh/year for average private colleges, and 2.5–5 lakh/year in top private colleges.
Your IPE marks alone don’t decide the fee — your EAMCET rank is the deciding factor for convener quota seats.
Hii,
If you didn’t write the NCET and still want to join B.Sc Nursing yes, you can. Many private and even some government nursing colleges accept students based on IPE marks rather than entrance exams.
In Visakhapatnam, colleges like Andhra College of Nursing, GITAM Institute of Nursing, and Gayatri College offer admission based on merit + interview. So even without NCET, you can still apply. Just you need a good pass in Intermediate usually above 50% with BiPC background. Some colleges will also ask for medical fitness or a basic entrance, but nothing like NEET.
Start calling the colleges or checking their websites now because management quota admissions happen earlier than regular rounds.
Thank you!
Yes, it's possible to seek admission to engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh even if you haven't taken the AP EAMCET exam, particularly through the management quota or if the college has its own entrance exam.
However, for admissions through the regular counseling process for B.Tech courses in Andhra Pradesh, you typically need to have appeared for and qualified in the AP EAMCET exam.
While some colleges might consider JEE Main scores, AP EAMCET remains the primary state-level entrance exam for admission to engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy courses in Andhra Pradesh.you haven't mention the course and college so it is difficult to provide college admission probability.
In your case, you may explore colleges in Andhra Pradesh that offer admission based on other entrance exams or consider applying through the management quota. Alternatively, you might consider taking the AP EAMCET exam in the future to expand your options for colleges and branches.
HELLO,
Yes, you have a possibility of getting a seat in ECE but it depends on the type of college like:-
1.Top government colleges/University colleges :- With a rank of 42330 it is somehow difficult to get ECE in reputed universities like JNTU, OU , AU or top government colleges as their cutoffs are usually below 10-20K.
2.Tier 2 Private colleges :- You may have a chance in good private colleges located in Hyderabad , Warangal or Vijayawada but not in their main branches of ECE still some college keep seats open till 40-45K
3.Tier 3 colleges :- You will definitely get a seat in ECE in mid to lower level engineering colleges
4.Category Advantage :- Since you belong to BC - B your category reservation will slightly improve your chances compared to the open category cutoffs
5.IPE marks(956) - This is a very good score and will likely satisfy the eligibility criteria for most colleges that consider 12th class marks
6.Backup options -If you are not very particular about ECE , you can also for try allied branches like EEE, CSE ,IT or Mechanical where cutoffs are flexible in many institutions
So overall you may not get ECE in top universities but you have a fair chance in mid and private colleges under your category. During counselling keep multiple options open and prioritize colleges wisely because some time during counselling there may be a chance of getting vacant seats.
Hope this Helps!
