Admission Process 2021
Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), Mumbai offers B.E, M.E and PhD courses. To get an admission to undergraduate courses of engineering the candidates need to appear for MHT-CET or JEE Main. For the admission to postgraduate courses, they need to have a valid GATE score. To get an admission to PhD, candidates need to follow the guidelines of the University of Mumbai.
The admission process of for B.E:
Candidates need to apply online for entrance examination- MHT-CET (PCM) or JEE (Main).
Candidates need to obtain a valid score in MHT-CET (PCM) or JEE (Main).
Merit at school-leaving exams will also be considered for admission.
The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates have to register for CAP.
Candidates will be shortlisted for CAP rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges.
The candidates who get allotment at DJSCE must report to the college and confirm her/his admission by fulfilling necessary procedures, which includes documents verification and fee payment.
Admission process for M.E:
- Candidates need to have a valid score in the Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
- Candidates need to apply online for the centralised counselling, conducted by the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
- In counselling, seats will be allotted to the candidates as per their preference for college and course.
- Shortlisted candidates need to report to the DJSCE and complete the admission process, which includes documents verification and fee payment.
Admission process for PhD:
The candidates need to appear for a Common Entrance Test and Interview/Viva-Voce conducted by the University of Mumbai.
Candidates appearing for the Post Graduate final year examination can appear for the entrance test. Such candidates need to submit the result of the qualifying examination at the time of M.Phil/PhD admission.
The admissions shall be processed through the (Department Research Committee/Central Research Committee).
The candidates who have qualified in the entrance test will be called for interview/viva-voce. The document verification of respective candidates shall also be carried out at the time of interview/viva-voce.
The general merit list for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme shall be prepared by the University, on the basis of performance of the candidate in the entrance test and the interview/viva-voce.
