Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology, Chittoor Admission Details:
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology offers admission to the diploma, undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, MCA) courses. Admission to diploma course is done through POLYCET examination while for B.Tech course, aspirants should qualify EAMCET examination conducted by the state government. Admission to postgraduate course will be done through GATE/PGECET/ICET examination. The detailed admission process is given below:
For Diploma Courses:
- Admission will be based on the performance in the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET).
- Shortlisted candidates have to register for online POLYCET counselling process.
- Final admission will be based on performance in the counselling process, seat allotment, Institute level document verification and fee payment.
For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech):
- Admission will be based on the performance in Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) and the diploma holder candidates should qualify ECET Exam.
- Shortlisted candidates have to register and appear for an online EAMCET counselling.
- Final admission will be done after seat allotment, Institute level document verification and fee payment.
For Postgraduate Courses (M.Tech/ MBA/ MCA):
- For M.Tech, candidates should qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET).
- For MBA and MCA, candidates should qualify Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET).
- Based on the marks scored in GATE/PGECET/ICET, candidates have to fill an online application form for admission to the College.
- Final admission will be done after seat allotment, Institute level document verification and fee payment.

The students are admitted into four year B.Tech (UG) programmes based on two categories.

Category-A (Convener Quota)
- 70% of total seats come under Category-A seats. These seats are filled by the Convener, EAMCET by following established regulations and procedure for admission of students into various Colleges/ branches. The admission procedure is.

- Online prospectus and applications
- Submission of applications through Online
- Conducting the entrance test and publishing the results
- Preparation of consolidated Rank list
Admission procedure:
- EAMCET counseling dates and schedule is notified in the websites as well as newspapers.
- Candidates need to select the college/branch using EAMCET web counseling procedure.

Counseling:
- Verification of Certificates.
- Exercising Options to select the College/ branch through web counseling by entering the EAMCET rank, name and Hall Ticket number.
- Editing the options (to change the College/Branch).
- Seat allotment as per the merit order and choice.
- Paying the fee.
- Reporting at the College allotted.
- The admission committee monitors the entire process in order to ensure transparency.
Category-B: (Management quota):
- 30% of the total seats are under Category-B and these seats are filled by the College Management as per guidelines of APSCHE. Following a definite procedure, the Management maintains total transparency in filling the seats. The admissions are on the basis of the rank obtained in the EAMCET / marks obtained in the qualifying Examination at Intermediate or equivalent exam recognized by Board of Intermediate, A.P.
- College gives the publicity in the print, electronic media and website about the availability of seats and the criteria of admission, course wise.
- Prepares a merit list based upon the received applications.
- The list of selected candidates is displayed in the notice boards and informed to the candidates.
- All Admissions are ratified by the Govt. of A.P.
