- Selected candidates must successfully accept by the stated deadline, i.e., acceptance, payment of the requisite fees, and submission of further documentation.
GEM Hospital and Research Centre Eligibility Process
- An MBBS degree from a recognised university
- A valid registration certificate with the Medical Council of India or the respective State Medical Council
- A postgraduate degree (MS/DNB) in the surgical specialty relevant to applying for the fellowship
- Clinical experience in the relevant specialty may be required for some of these programmes.
GEM Hospital and Research Centre Fellowship Admission Process
Fellowships in Minimally Access Surgery: One fellow is accepted for training in advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical techniques across specialities.
Fellowship in Hepatobiliary Surgery: This fellowship trains fellows in liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic surgeries through minimally invasive approaches. One seat is currently available.
Fellowship in Endo-Gynaecology: There is one seat available for this fellowship, which trains gynaecologists in advanced endoscopic procedures applicable to various gynaecological conditions.
Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery: This programme has one seat open and is for training in minimally invasive techniques for disorders and cancers of the colorectum.
Fellowship in Esophageal Surgery: One seat is available for training in advanced surgical techniques for Disorders and Diseases of the Esophagus's under this fellowship.
Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Onco Surgery: This fellowship provides two seats for training in minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of cancers in various specialities.
Candidates for admission to any of the above programmes would have to have passed MBBS and postgraduate (MS/DNB) in the relevant surgical speciality.
