PES Scholastic Aptitude Test 2020 is conducted for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by PES University. The registration process for PESSAT 2020 has commenced from October 4, 2019, wherein the slot booking for all other courses will commence on January 6, 2020 except for B.Tech., whose slot booking shall start on July 20. Candidates are required to book their slots in order to appear for PESSAT. The courses offered by PES University for which PESSAT score will be accepted are B.Tech., B.Des, BBA, BBA LLB, MBA and MCA. The duration of PESSAT depends on the course that the aspirants are seeking admission to. The syllabus of the exam also varies from course to course. Results for all other courses will be released 3 days after taking the PESSAT test. in online mode.

As per the PESSAT eligibility criteria 2020, candidates seeking admission to B.Tech programme must pass Class 12 or equivalent with an aggregate score of 60% from a recognized board. In addition, it is mandatory to pass Class 12 from the science stream to be considered eligible for PESSAT 2020.
In order to take admission to B.Des course, candidates appearing for PESSAT 2020 must have passed Class 12. PESSAT eligibility criteria 2020 state that a candidate must score at least 50% in the qualifying examination. Furthermore, Class 12 or its equivalent should be completed from a recognised board.
In order to be considered eligible for PESSAT 2020 to pursue BBA course, candidates must pass Class 12 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. There are no requirements of a particular stream in Class 12 to be deemed eligible for BBA course through PESSAT 2020.
Candidates taking PESSAT 2020 to pursue BBA LLB must qualify Class 12 or any other exam which is equivalent to Class 12 exams. For general category candidates, a minimum score of 45% of total marks in Class 12 or an equivalent examination is required as per PESSAT eligibility criteria 2020. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category need minimum 40% in aggregate. Candidates must note that if the minimum required score is 44.5% and above then it will be treated as 45% and score of 39.5% or above will be treated as 40%.
To fulfil the PESSAT 2020 eligibility criteria for MBA course, candidates must check the following requirements-
As per eligibility criteria for PESSAT 2020 to pursue MCA, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree. The degree should be obtained from a recognised University to fulfil the PESSAT 2020 eligibility criteria.

There is a common application form for B.Tech, B.Des, BBA, BBA-HEM, LLB, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Com programmes. It must be noted that to apply for multiple courses, a different email id has to be used every time.
The candidates will be required to go through the following steps while filling the PESSAT application form 2020 -
Registration- In this step, candidates will be asked to select the course and enter details like name, gender, date of birth, and email id. After submission of these details, click on ‘proceed’ button and then confirm.
Fill the PESSAT 2020 application form- After registration, candidates will be required to fill parents details, permanent address, marks in the qualifying examination, branch in which the admission is sought (only for candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses), choice of exam centres to fill PESSAT 2020 application form.
Upload documents- The photograph and signature must be uploaded in this step of PESSAT application form 2020.
Pay application fee- Candidates will now be asked to submit the requisite PESSAT 2020 application fee through the online or offline medium.
Take a printout- After successful submission of the registration fee and details, PESSAT 2020 aspirants can take a printout of the application form.
PESSAT 2020 for B.Tech programmes will have 180 questions. Candidates will get a total of 3 hours to answer questions in PESSAT 2020. The question paper of PESSAT 2020 for B.Tech will comprise two sections – Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 will have questions from three subjects namely Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
As per the PESSAT exam pattern 2020, the questions asked in section 1 will be of Classes 11 and 12 standard.
The section 2 of PESSAT 2020 will have questions from English Grammar.

The entrance exam for B.Des course will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours. PESSAT 2020 for B.Des also known as Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be held in pen and paper mode. Candidates will be required to carry their own pencil, sketches and eraser at the time of PESSAT 2020 exam. If a candidate has done any creative work, then a portfolio of the same needs to be brought at the time of PESSAT/DAT exam.
The question paper of PESSAT 2020 for B.Des will contain questions from subjects like General Knowledge, Basic Knowledge of Colours and Form, Spatial Sense, Sensitivity to Aspects of Typography, 3D Visualisation, Ability of Visualise/Imagine, Interpreting Natural Laws and Basic Engineering, Free-Hand Sketching, Basic Analytical Ability and Basic English.
PESSAT 2020 for BBA course will be held for a duration of 2 hours. PESSAT question paper 2020 for BBA course will contain three sections- English Comprehension/Verbal Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. PESSAT for BBA LLB will be conducted for 2 hours. As per the PESSAT exam pattern 2020, the question paper will consist of four sections. These four sections of PESSAT 2020 will comprise 110 questions. The sections from which questions will be asked in PESSAT are Basic Law, Quantitative Reasoning, English Comprehensive/Verbal Ability and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. PESSAT for MBA course will be held for a duration of 2 hours. MCA aspirants must note PESSAT exam pattern 2020 to know about the exam duration, number of questions, and sections included in the question. PESSAT is conducted for 120 minutes. The question paper of PESSAT 2020 for MCA course contains 120 questions. These questions will be distributed among four sections as per the PESSAT exam pattern. The sections included in PESSAT 2020 are Computer Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical & Logical Ability and Mathematics.

Candidates will be allowed to book their slots to appear for PESSAT 2020 from July 20 onwards. After booking the slot for PESSAT 2020, it should be ensured by the candidates that they take a print out of the PESSAT admit card 2020. PESSAT aspirants can appear for the exam in 50 test centres.
Mode of Counselling:
The PESSAT 2020 counselling for B.Tech will be conducted in offline mode which implies candidates must report to the PES University campus. To participate in PESSAT counselling 2020, only the marks obtained in the aptitude test will be considered. In case, a candidate is unable to report to the allotted centre then an authorised representative can participate in the counselling process. The representative must hold an authorization letter which should be approved (with seal and sign) by the authorities concerned. Candidates will be required to opt for specialization at the time of PESSAT counselling 2020.
After taking PESSAT 2020 for B.Des, candidates will be required to take a personal interview. The interview will be held at Department of Architecture and Design of PES University. Candidates will be analysed on the basis of their performance in the PESSAT 2020 and interview. The score of both the test and interview will be intimated within three days via email and SMS. The result will clarify whether candidates are eligible for the further admission process.

So, by securing minimum cutoff in COMEDK, you can get admission into PES university. But if you want to be university specific or want an extra chance, then you an apply for PESSAT also.
