A particle of mass m at rest is acted upon by a force F for time t. KE after time t?
Hello aspirant,
Thanks for contacting Careers360.
Kinetic Energy KE = p^2/2m...(i) (p^2 means p to the power 2) (p = momentum)
Force F = p/t
=> p = Ft
Substituting p=Ft in eq. (i), we get -
KE after time t = (Ft)^2/2m
= F^2 t^2/2m
Hence, if a particle of mass 'm' at rest is acted upon by a force 'F' for time 't', KE after time 't' will be F^2 t^2/2m.
Thank You
Best Of Luck
