The admission process for B.Tech in Sugar & Alcohol Technology Engineering is based on the performance in the entrance examinations: state level or national level engineering entrance examinations such as AIEEE or JEE. Some institutes also provide direct admission via Board Merit list considering the marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Below are some of the entrance examinations conducted for B.Tech in Sugar & Alcohol Technology:

• Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main – JEE is a two-tier examination: Main & Advanced. • Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PU-CET) – PU-CET (http://collegedunia.com/exams/pu-cet) is conducted by the Punjab University for availing admissions to undergraduate courses (pharmacy, engineering, homeopathic medical). Application forms are available on the official website of the university from March 2019 and last date of submission of filled in application forms is in May. Entrance test is held either in the last week of May or first week of June. The test is conducted in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. Candidate who have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam from any recognized university can apply for this test.
• Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET) – MH CET (http://collegedunia.com/exams/mh-cet) is a common entrance test conducted in Maharashtra for providing undergraduate and postgraduate admissions in engineering & technology and pharmacy courses offered by various government and private colleges of Maharashtra state. Online application forms are available in February and examination is held in May first week. The basic eligibility for undergraduate courses is pass in 10+2 (HSC). The exam pattern is MCQ based. MHT CET exam comprises of 3 papers namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
