Can you please suggest IIM s or any top private B-schools which donot cares much about work experience.Suggest best colleges for freshers.
Right from IIMA to the newest IIM that you see, almost all of them pay due heed and importance to freshers. Except IIMB, and to some extent IIMC, all the colleges take in students looking into the demand of the market. One need to understand that B- schools intake students looking into what companies actually want in two years. Making it simple, B- schools as well as companies need diversified range of students ranging from freshers from different graduation backgrounds to people with work experience in different fields. So if you are fresher, then you hold an equal chance as a person with work experience would, in getting a final admit in IIM or any top private Bschool. In fact, your competition shall only be with freshers not with work experience candidates.
Now talking about the institutes respectively,
IIM-Indore had approximately 65% freshers in one of its batches. That happened to be the highest figure among any of the IIMs. IIM Bangalore had 27% freshers, IIM Calcutta had 23% while IIMA is on the line of cutting down the proportion of freshers yet it would still significantly wouldn't cut it down to a large extent. It still had about 30% freshers. IIM Ranchi had 32 freshers out of its total batch strength of 117 and IIM Kozhikode had about 40% freshers, following on its line was IIM Trichy.
Talking about few private MBA colleges, SPJIMR takes students diversification as per specialisation that you opt for while filling the form. At SPJIMR, marketing had 31% freshers, finance had somewhere around 40% freshers while operations had 100% work experience people.
MDI, Gurgaon and IMT, Ghaziabad give certain weights to work experience, however always keep in mind one thing that your competition, in the end, is only with yourself and peers of your zone, i.e.,the freshers not the workex folks.
For any other college of your interest, you can look into the batch profiles of respective colleges available on their website.
If you are unavailable to find, feel free to ask.
All the best!!
