see, this principle states that if a external stress is applied to a reacting system,system will try to adjust itself in a way so as to nullify the effect of stress,if you shake cloths water molecules near the surface of cloths get disturbed and to fill in that gap water molecules from the cloth start evaporating faster.
Water molecules on the surface of liquid water are evaporating into air at the same time that water molecules in the air are condensing onto the liquid water. In order for the liquid water to completely evaporate away, thus leaving the clothes dry , water molecules must leave the surface more quickly than they return.
