Could someone guide me??im studying 12 th in state board school, can i stop studying state board and concentrate on NEET?

Well. Since u didn't mention which state board u are in.. This makes a tad bit difficult to understand ur query.. But nonetheless, if ur aim is to crack neet ug, i would like to suuget that u concentrate more on the neet exam than ur state board exam. However do not completely ignore the board exams too.. There is certain minimum qualification u need to pass through in ur board exams to be able to give the neet.

However once u r confirmed that u r well enough higher than that minimum qualification, then u should start focusing on the neet ug.

Hey.. You seem so anxious man! So, let me tell you what I did. I scored 96.2% in my boards along with clearing the NEET 2016 with an AIR of 1127. I cleared all my concepts from the NCERT textbooks which used to take generally 30 to 40 minutes from the day. And once, that is done you need not to mug up those things again and again. Try to make short notes during studying from which you can revise easily. And once that is done, go through solving problems and studying for NEET. And what you study for your board exams will definitely help you for NEET. Good luck..:)

I totally get your emotions on how it is sometimes hard to manage writing records, state board exams etc but never make that mistake of dropping it out ..you need to have a minimum 50% aggregate in your state level examination ... Concentrate on your entrances on a regular basis and just a month before your state boards you can prepare for a theory paper

I would like to inform you that if you belong to an unreserved general category then you need to definitely score above 50% in your board exams to be eligible to fulfill the criteria of neet.Neet eligibility clearly states this.
So I would suggest to prepare a time table in which you can simultaneously concentrate on both.
Spend more time on your boards preparation so that you can score more than 50% at the same time do not neglect neet preparation. Spend some time on that too. In this way you can cover both the portions.

The key is to maintain balance. However I'd recommend you to prioritize. Always have a FIRST THINGS FIRST approach. You know your board exams are nearing and you will be appearing for your boards first before you appear for NEET entrance. And scoring well in boards assumes importance not only because this is the first and last time you'll be writing your class 12 boards but also because when you perform well in these exams, it'll motivate you to work for NEET as well.
Your job is to introspect, how well versed are you with your concepts? Board exams will ask you a few concepts and NEET will test your application skills in a particular concept. If somehow, you're finding it difficult to manage both the aspects at one time, focus on your board exams first. Because NEET requires concentrated efforts and half hearted attempts will only give you disappointment. You give your best in board exams and then come back to your preparation for NEET entrance.

Which state are you from?
Some states like bengal just have one exam neet..
So if you are concentrating on state pmt exam..fine..
But at the end of tge day NEET will get you across to the vest colleges of your state as well as india..yes all india quota seats are just 15% of the total college seats and thus you need to feature in all india top 2000 ur rank to get some decent college via all india quota.. and if your state, like bengal , fills in state quota seats also from neet results as per supreme court order of neet being the only medical entrance examination for all quota admission types be it state or all india category..then NEET is of utmost importance and you must start preparing for it and concentrate on it as it will venefit you in the long run.

Short answer: no. While many people will say that you career depends on NEET, the boards cannot be ignored.
Obviosly, since the syllabus is the similar , preparing for boards will prepare you for NEET.
However, apart from that, a good board score is necessary if you decide to change your career options, or, god forbid cannot clear it this year.

Most of the stuff in State board syllabus and NCERT are same ... you need to clear out your boards with good grades (In case you are to join other course than medicine you need those grades) As far as neet is considered it would be in May 1st week so you have some time to catch up with the differences between your books and ncert books. (IN MEEN TIME KEEP PRACTICING FOR MCQs)

Give time to both exams......but focus more on neet exam because it can make your career bright.

Hello man ! Answer to this query depends mostly on how much time you have left with, before starting with board examination. Because once you get concept cleared ( which takes sufficient time) which requires thorough reading of NCERT books as well as state books and solving MCQs from proper sources like DC Pandey physics (4 volumes of book) . Repeated reading of NCERT and few reading of state biology book will help you in both. Chemistry, you can solve multiple MCQs along with One reading of NCERT book.
Ultimately it  depends on time you spend with subject and writing skills in boards. All the best !

Hi Gautham! The main difference between State Board and NCERT textbooks is that NCERT has just a little bit more in terms of concepts. So I recommend that you study from the textbooks prescribed by State Board first, then for physics and chemistry, ensure that you understand the solved examples from NCERT textbooks. The analogy in the answers are similar for answering NEET questions. In biology, every word is important because about 80-85% of the questions are quite direct from the NCERT textbook. For reference books, 1) I can recommend Pradeep's Objective Textbooks for all the three subjects for the questions, as practice. 2) For conceptual understanding, you may use HC Verma's Concepts for physics, Modern ABC's textbooks for physics and chemistry and Dinesh's Objective textbook for Biology. The main thing in Board exams is presentation. So 2-3 months before your Board exams are adequate to work on your presentation skills, you just have to elaborate the method of solving questions as well as mention the formula you are using. After your Board exams, I recommend that you solve papers as mock exams and learn time management as you do so (I can't give one definite method as everybody has different tactics). Also analyse your papers; I used to write the page of NCERT textbook[for biology] and the concept[for physics and chemistry] next to each question as a review.
