NCERT books are really very good,at the same time I suggest to go through some reference books which will help you a lot.But you must have knowledge of each topic .

You can clear your concepts through NCERT books. Syllabus is based on NCERT only but there are some questions from out of NCERT as well for that you can refer additional book.
To score good rank solve previous year questions papers, MCQs and mock test papers.
