You can choose your category as OBC during form filling and submission. Categories other than General have relaxation in terms of selection criteria and cutoffs, so this might work in your favour. You would have to produce a caste certificate, so keep that in mind and good luck.

Hello dear!
If your caste name is in the central list come under the reserved categories like obc, sc, st then you are eligible to get benefits of the reserved category during the seat allocation through jossa counseling. For this you have to submit your category certificate during the registration portal of jee advanced or during the admissions process for NITs
