A Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time course that trains students to teach primary and upper primary classes. It is a popular choice for students who have completed Class 12 and want to become teachers.

The D.El.Ed program is designed for untrained teachers working in primary and upper primary schools across India. The course is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The course can be done with classroom training or distance learning. The course fee for distance education ranges from INR 10,000-12,000.

To be eligible for the course, teachers must have a secondary qualification or its equivalent from CBSE or any other recognized board of India with at least 50% marks in aggregate. SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates get a 5% relaxation.

Candidates must pass class 12 or the intermediate exam from a recognised board . They must score a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in class 12. Candidates belonging to reserved category must score a minimum of 45% marks.  It is a two year course . Nowadays in Delhi deled that is DIET you need to give entrance exam and then you get admission earlier it was on 12th merit basis .

After this course you need to give ctet ,uptet, DSSSB ,kvs such exams to be a teacher .
