If I choose diploma for software engineering then should I require to attempt JEE?

For admission in Diploma in engineering depend on the university or college you have selected. As eligibility criteria differ from college to college.

To get admission to diploma in software engineering you does not need to give JEE main exam. The eligibility for admission to diploma in engineering colleges is -
10 or 10+2 from a recognised board.
The minimum Percentage required may vary from institution to institution.
