If I get a college in round 1 and then opt for upgradation but do not get college in round 2 rather got the college in round 3(mop up) then can directly upgrade to the college as I would have done so in round 2 or there are some other procedures.
If you are allotted a college in Round 1 of counseling and opt for upgradation, but do not get a college in Round 2 and then receive an allotment in Round 3 (Mop-Up Round), the process typically varies depending on the specific counseling guidelines. However, here’s a general idea of what usually happens:
-
Round 1 to Round 2 Upgradation : If you opt for upgradation after being allotted a college in Round 1, your seat is usually held while you participate in Round 2. If you do not get a better college in Round 2, you retain your Round 1 seat.
-
Mop-Up Round : If you participate in the Mop-Up Round (Round 3) after Round 2, and you are allotted a new college, you will typically have the option to either accept this new allotment or stick with your previous seat from Round 1.
Acceptance and Reporting : If you decide to accept the new allotment from the Mop-Up Round, you will need to follow the specific reporting and admission procedures laid out by the counseling authority. This might involve surrendering your previous allotment and completing the formalities for the new one.
Always check the specific rules of your counseling process, as they may have unique procedures for seat upgradation and acceptance.
hope this helps you!!
