In order to get into any of the IIT through JEE advanced examination the cutoff for admission is different for different candidates based on their category such as scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe, other backward classes, general, general EWS, or female candidate.
For a schedule tribe candidate scoring around hundred or 120 marks in JEE advanced examination could definitely help him get into to some of the IIT and get a few options for admission through josaa counselling.
