Solution : Great Leap Forward, in Chinese history, was the campaign undertaken by the Chinese communists between 1958 and early 1960 to organize its vast population, especially in large-scale rural communes, to meet China's industrial and agricultural problems. Mao Zedong, the Communist leader of China, launched the Cultural Revolution in 1966 in an attempt to regain control over the Chinese government. The stages of the Cultural Revolution continued until Mao's death in 1976. In the study Our Common Future, published by the Brundtland Commission, the term sustainable development was first used. With its goal of discussing the environment and development as a single issue, Our Common Future firmly puts environmental issues on the political agenda. (A)-(II), (B)-(III), (C)-(I), (D)-(IV)
