my rank is below than the cutoff, so if i filled a higher cutoff branch which is fairly near my rank, so in college choice filling is there a chance to get that branch.
Hey, I get it—seeing your rank fall below the cutoff can be tough, especially when you’ve applied for a branch that’s just a bit higher. But don’t worry, there’s still a path forward. With AP EAPCET 2025, the process doesn’t end after the initial rounds, and your rank being fairly close to the cutoff gives you a fighting chance.
After the main counseling rounds (usually at least three), there’s a spot admission round where vacant seats are filled. This is your opportunity, especially since your chosen branch’s cutoff is near your rank. While it depends on how many seats remain and other applicants, it’s worth staying hopeful. Keep an eye on the official website (https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET) for updates on dates and procedures.
Make sure to check the counseling schedule regularly and be ready to act fast when spot admissions open. You can also consider other branches or colleges where your rank might fit better, but since you’re focused on this branch, prioritize the spot round. If needed, reach out to the counseling helpline for clarity. Stay proactive, and you might just land that seat!
hi,
If your rank is below the cutoff for a particular branch, it usually means you are not eligible for that branch based on previous years' trends. However, sometimes in real seat allotment, there can be slight changes in cutoff due to factors like seat availability, student choices, or dropouts.
If you choose a branch that is slightly higher than your rank but not too far, there is still a small chance you might get it if the cutoffs drop a bit this year. But if the branch is far above your rank, the chances are very low.
