Should I go for counselling in VIT Vellore at 15660 rank in VITEEE exam. Will I get CS OR IT branches in Vellore campus in 1,2,3 categories? Also can I get CS/IT branch in JIIT NOIDA at 86 percent marks in PCM in class 12 and 88 percent overall? Which of the two is good in terms of avg. placements?

Dear aspirant,

Congratulations for your success in VITEEE . With the mentioned rank you cannot get  CS or IT in category 1 or 2 at Vellore campus. You might get a category 3 seat in IT or Cse if previous cutoff trends is analysed.

JIIT offers admissions to btech courses on the basis of JEE scores or the percentage secured in +2 examination. The previous cutoffs for merit based examination are closed to 88-90 for Cse at JIIT, Noida. You need to fill the counseling form once it is out at https://www.jiit.ac.in/ .

VIT, Vellore surely edges over JIIT In terms of placement records and average package. The average package for a Car student at VIT is close to 7 lacs while it is around 4-4.5 lacs at JIIT.

Hope it helps!!
