Is VIT a good college for engg. (CSE)?

Aditi Amrendra Student Expert 13th Oct, 2019

VIT is not a very good college colleges but it is definitely above above average. It has good infrastructure, good faculties but the cons are that first of all the fees is extremely high.Placement record is not that good but just average. Also its very crowded. But overall if you will be able to focus in yourself and you studies then you will definitely do good in any college with the branch of your interest.

I hope this helps

is SASTRA college better for computer science and engineering or vit?

Anupam Kumar Student Expert 13th Oct, 2019

Hey there

Ofcourse VIT vellore not just because of MHRD rating but because vit Vellore can be considered one of the best private colleges in our country. If you'll get feedback from the currently studying students of vit you will find that individual attention is given in vit Vellore and for placements you won't have to worry they'll shape you in such a way that you'll get the placement. Various good companies visit the College as compared to sashtra University which is not that good as vit Vellore.

Good luck

what is the cut off mark for bsc Agri In top most collages for #vit and other top most collages

Vemireddy Rushitha Student Expert 13th Oct, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

Agriculture Bsc is one amongst the most preferred course by many candidates after their Intermediate. Therefore getting an admission for this course is not very simple, but possible with a little effort. Every state conducts their own state level entrance examination to allot Agricultural Bsc seats. There are also national level examinations that are conducted for allotting seats. To get a seat in top most colleges you should have a minimum of 80% and above in ICAR AIEEEA.

Good luck!

I scored 80/125 marks in VITEEE. Can I get a seat in VIT vellore cse branch?

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 12th Oct, 2019
Hello aspirant I am here for helping you.
As far as your doubt is considered so you got more than 50% marks in VITEE , and if we consider the  total intake in Computer science engineering in VIT and your marks then the chances of having admission are very high but still in worst  case if  marks of many student are similar or at the high level then it may change the probability of having your admission in your desire branch else you can have admission in other branches.
I hope you got it.
Feel free to ask any query in comment section.
Best of luck.

What must be my score in VITEEE to get a seat in cse at VIT vellore?

Aditi Amrendra Student Expert 8th Oct, 2019

VITEEE never provides total mark scored by the student in the result. VITEEE result only provides your rank in the exam.
So, mark vs. rank is unpredictable for VITEEE.
On an average score above 60-70 will help you to get into VIT campuses. But for main branch aim for 100 plus to get into main campus.

Good Luck

Apoorva Student Expert 5th Oct, 2019

Hello dear student,

The hostel charges of VIT Chennai depends upon how many bedroom you take whether it is AC or non AC and it goes from

If you take double bedroom which is AC then it charges you excluding mess charges around 1,17,250

If you take 2 bedded non AC then it charges you 76200 it is also excluding mess charges

If you take three bedroom which is AC  then it will charge you 1,12,650 and if you take three bedroom which is non AC then it will charge you 71050 rupees.

If you will take four  bedroom 4 AC it will charge you 1,06,850 and if you take non AC bedroom then it will charge you 65400.

The above mentioned charges I have told you these are all excluding mess charges and including admission and processing fees for any kind of room which is 15,000 for all . Also includes caution deposit which is 15,000 for all the above individually , that's refundable and included in the total amount.

Now the mess charges depend upon the message type you opt for which are like wise

  • For veg mess the amount is 58,750
  • For non veg mess the amount is 65,500
  • For special mess the amount is 75,000

ÑÍthesh 1st Oct, 2019
Haii shreyas!!! I'll tell you some tips for for 11th PCM follow If you like. Chemistry: This subject requires more concentration so keep practising everything and remember bit to bit. NCERT is enough iff you write and remember line to line. Physics : some of the main topics to cover is like thermodynamics, law of motion, gravitation, oscillations and waves.firstly do practice the important derivations. Remember the formulas to solve the problems.Better to write formulas in a notes to keep remember and for revision. Read conceptual questions by understanding the theory in it don't by heart it and then remember the main points in that question. While coming to maths:some the topics to cover is trignometry and yahh...R.D sharma is prescribed and ease to prepare in this Bionomical and Conic sections,p&c,trignometry(8,9,10,11of RD. Sharma) .Do practice the problems clearly in an order because the questions will be given in the advanced level. Do practice well for the exam. All the best Shreyas!! Give your best in your examinations. And in practicals also. Good luck!
