Which are the colleges that offer btech cs to pcb students? Pls tell names of colleges and their respective examination

Chelsie G 24th Oct, 2025

Hi! As a PCB student, you can pursue B Tech in Computer Science at some universities that offer bridge courses in Mathematics , Colleges include Career Point University (Rajasthan), Lovely Professional University (Punjab), and VIT University (Tamil Nadu). Admission usually requires clearing the university’s entrance exam, and bridge courses cover the necessary math concepts. These programs open opportunities in software development, data science, AI, and cybersecurity.

Few college are offerering cs to the pcb student by providing a bridge course so is it fake?

Rahul Mandal 23rd Oct, 2025

Hello,

The claim that "Few colleges are offering CS to the PCB student by providing a bridge course" isn't fake; it is a valid pathway, particularly in private universities. This has been made possible by recent educational policy changes, such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and updated University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) guidelines.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Im a pcb student can i pursue btech in cs

Rahul Mandal 23rd Oct, 2025

Hello,

Yes, it's possible for a PCB student to pursue a BTech in Computer Science, although it depends on the university. Some private universities and deemed-to-be universities allow admission based on their own entrance exams or offer bridge courses to cover the mathematics requirement. For government colleges, this is typically not an option, as they require 12th-grade Mathematics (PCM) as a mandatory subject.

I hope it will clear your query!!

i am planning to appear for ceeta pg cs it (tancet) for ME cs , is there ex-serviceman quota for that ?

Prachi Kumari 23rd Oct, 2025

Hello,

Yes, there is an ex-servicemen (Ex-Servicemen) quota for ME Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) admissions through TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test). This reservation is part of the special category seats for Tamil Nadu natives.

According to the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) guidelines, 8 seats in University Departments, 34 in University Colleges, and 108 in Government and Government-aided Colleges are reserved for the sons and daughters of ex-servicemen. This totals 150 seats across various institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a native of Tamil Nadu.

  • You should be the son or daughter of an ex-serviceman.

  • You need to provide relevant documents, such as the parent’s discharge certificate and ID card, to claim this quota.

This quota is available only to Tamil Nadu natives. If you are not a native of Tamil Nadu, you may not be eligible for this reservation.

Hope it helps !

what is qualified marks for gate in cs if in 2026 with cut off pf marks

Ankur Mehta 26th Sep, 2025

Hey! The qualifying cutoff for GATE CSE in 2025 was around 29.2 marks for General, 26.2 for OBC/EWS, and 19.4 for SC/ST/PwD. For GATE 2026, the official cutoff is not declared yet, but if we look at the past trends, it usually stays around 30–32 marks for General category. So, if you are preparing, it’s better to target a score well above this range to be on the safer side.
