VITBEE exam for admission to the MBA programme at VIT Vellore will be conducted on May 3, 2026 (Sunday).
Vellore Institute of Technology is now conducting the VITBEE exam for admission to MBA programme.
The infrastructure of our college is excellent with a big campus for the students to explore. Hostel facilities and canteen is really good but the food should be more hygienically made with care. It also has well designed gyms, sports area, libraries and laboratories.
The professors do advance research in their subjects and are well known for their works. They conduct technical chapters like IEEE etc for gaining leadership qualities, innovative ideas among the students.
The placement records of the college is highest this year with 11k students placed with 868 companies visited this year like PayPal, JPMorgan, Cisco, Microsoft etc. 10LPA for this year among 3563 for super dream offers and 6LPA among 3499 for dream offers.
Academic buildings are good, classrooms are large to accomodate lots of students, labs are ac and well equipped. Hostel facilities are good ranging from 1-6 bed ac/non-ac rooms with wifi service. Mess food is decent with good variety. Laundry and transport services are available on campus. Sports facilities, gym, library, etc are available.
Faculties are mostly good. Fully flexible credit system allows for freedom in selecting courses and faculties. Classes are standard board teaching. Course content is good, keeps constantly updating. 3 sets of exams are conducted, each with a different pattern. Research facilities and labs are good and projects are encouraged. Student exchange programs are also available for those interested.
Current placement season is rough due to recession however companies are hiring with decent packages that are an improvement over previous years. Multiple companies ranging from core to it as well as consultancy come for recruiting.
VIT is good if you make most of the oppurtunities regardless of how much you spend. Multi category fee system means preferably its better to be a higher category student for reduced fee as fees can go very high for lower category based on VITEEE rank.
Campus is nice and lush, lots of space for walking and activities. Crowd is diverse and good, multiple social circles exist. Clubs and Chapters also promote campus life with extra curriculars and other activities
VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.
M.Tech Biotech academics at VIT is good. Teachers mostly PhDs, explain genetics, bioprocess clear. FFCS lets pick timings, cool system. But some lectures boring, exams tough. Research projects nice, I worked on enzymes. Strict 75% attendance, no skip. Learn if work hard.
Placements for M.Tech Biotech okay, not great. Around 50% get jobs, like Biocon, Serum Institute. Roles research or quality, pay 4-6 LPA, max 12 LPA. Less companies for biotech. Training helps, but many do PhD or off-campus jobs. Network key for success.
M.Tech Biotech fees 1.8 lakh yearly, plus hostel 50k. Total 4 lakh two years. Worth for VIT brand, good infra, faculty. Scholarships cut costs, I got 20k off. But low biotech salaries, not instant ROI. Better than small colleges, decent value overall.
Campus life at VIT super fun. Clubs for dance, biotech, tech, over 70. Riviera fest big, celebs perform. Diverse friends, food courts nice. Strict rules, 9pm curfew girls, humid weather. Sports active, I played volleyball. Safe but isolated spots scary night
College infrastructure is good, it includes well equipped libraries, wifi facility, computer labs, canteen, hostel, clean classrooms and other facilities. Campus has clean and green environment with a big ground.
The teachers were knowledgeable but management is not cooperative they should focus more on club activities rather the college facilities. Otherwise faculties of my college were good and friendly nature.
Placement opportunities and internship opportunities of our college is good even for ug course also, one can get a good exposure of working while studying. As only 60-70% students got intership from the college. Companies like TCS, Wipro, CTS visit our college for recruitment.
VIT Vellore has world-class infrastructure with modern classrooms, advanced labs, a massive library, and eco-friendly surroundings. Hostels are clean and comfortable, while sports, gyms, and auditoriums add to the student experience
Academics at VIT are flexible and innovative with the FFCS system, letting students choose their courses and faculty. The curriculum is regularly updated to match industry trends, and faculty are highly qualified
Placements at VIT are among the best in the country, with top recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft, and Deloitte offering hundreds of roles yearly. The placement cell trains students exclusively in coding, aptitude, and soft skills to enable skill development
VIT offers a strong ROI with excellent infrastructure, academics and career opportunities. Though the fees may seem high, the placements will ensure a good return, not to mention the exposure students get
Campus life is amazing at VIT with dynamic, inclusive and multicultural students from around the world. There are a lot of fests, cells and clubs that give a memorable experience to all students.
VIT Vellore is main campus of VIT University .The infrastructure of academic building , Hostel is awesome.Campus is very clean and specially boys hostel side more greenery. All Department have separate building and lab with all instruments. Periyar central library is one of peaceful place to study but overnight is not allowed.Free and paid gym is available . Boys and girls hostel have separate swimming pool.Wifi is little bit slow in hostel area due to large number of user.
I studied Mechanical engineering which is one of oldest branch in VIT from establishment year.Teacher is nice little bit some teacher is very strict .In every year as per industry curriculum be updated.
As compare to IIT,NIT core company placement be less and also package is not high but overall you get placed (means approx 100% placement) in any company after completion of degree. If your CGPA and concept is good then you get core company like Tata Motors ,Mahindra etc . On average package of mechanical student in core branch be 5-9 lpa.Highest package goes to CS branch which is approx 32 lpa in 2018 but now cross 1 crore.Placement process is medium level as stage by stage and college supportive in that.
If you selected by merit rank under 8000 then you get in category 1 which fee is approx 1.5 lakh per year which is value for money but if your rank is not good then you get in category 2,3,4 seat which cost is approx 4 to 5 lakh per year . I think that is not value for money.I take admission in cat-1 so I felt that my value of money is good.
In campus all facilities is available bank, ATM, food plaza . Also inside hostel night canteen is available. But one of the worst features is strictness girls not allowed to go outside of campus after 8 pm also boys 9 pm not able to go out of hostel.Students involves in various activity like club , annual fest, Rivera etc.Every staff is cooperative but very strict. They have own security committee .Management able to handle any emergencies immediately.
Overall college is very nice if you are selected in category 1. Infrastructure ,academic is good . But little issues as the campus crowd is going very high and lot of students coming to rich background so campus lifestyle is costly. If you don't get IIT then surely go to VIT.No doubt VIT is one of the best college in India.
VIT Vellore has world-class infrastructure that truly matches global standards. The campus is huge, clean, and green with excellent facilities. Classrooms are modern, air-conditioned, and equipped with smart boards. The Central Library is one of the best in the country, with thousands of books, digital resources, and 24/7 access during exams. The labs are state-of-the-art, especially for engineering and biotechnology courses. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls, with different options (AC/non-AC, single/double/triple sharing). Food courts serve a variety of cuisines, and there are multiple cafeterias and convenience stores. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and hostels.
VIT follows a fully flexible credit system (FFCS), which allows students to choose their subjects, slots, and even faculty — a unique advantage. I am pursuing [e.g., B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering], and the curriculum is frequently updated based on industry needs. Professors are well-qualified and supportive, although the teaching quality may vary from faculty to faculty. There is a strong focus on project-based learning, research, and real-time application. Students are encouraged to do online courses (NPTEL, Coursera), take up internships, and participate in hackathons and coding competitions.
Placements at VIT Vellore are excellent, especially for CSE and related branches. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Qualcomm, TCS Digital, and Cognizant come for recruitment. In recent years, the highest package has gone above ₹50 LPA (by Microsoft), and the average for CSE is around ₹7–8 LPA. Mass recruiters offer packages around ₹3.5–4.5 LPA. The placement cell conducts pre-placement training for aptitude, technical, and communication skills. There are good internship opportunities from the third year onwards, and VIT has strong industry tie-ups.
The fees at VIT are higher than most engineering colleges (₹1.9–₹2.2 lakh per year for tuition, depending on the category), but the exposure, infrastructure, and placement support make it a good return on investment. Scholarships are available based on VITEEE rank and academic performance. If you are dedicated and make use of the opportunities here, VIT definitely provides value for money.
Campus life at VIT is vibrant and diverse. There are over 100 student clubs for technical, cultural, music, dance, drama, robotics, and more. Fests like Riviera (cultural fest) and GraVITas (technical fest) are massive and attract participants nationwide. The student crowd is very diverse, with students from all over India and even abroad. The atmosphere is safe and welcoming, and there are medical facilities, shuttle services, and emergency support. There’s always something happening on campus, making life at VIT exciting and memorable.
Good college
provides state-of-the-art infrastructure with advanced biotech labs, a vast library, high-speed Wi-Fi, and excellent hostel and sports facilities. Also maintains clean hostels with regular housekeeping, and the mess provides hygienic, diverse food options catering to various dietary preferences.
Studying MSc Integrated Biotechnology at VIT Vellore for a biotech research career. Teaching quality is good, but some classes could be more interactive.Fairly updated, covering recent biotech advancements, but could include more emerging topics like CRISPR and AI in biotech.
Placements are decent, with companies like TCS and Serum Institute, but high-paying roles are limited.About 70-100% of MSc Biotech students at VIT Vellore get placed. Highest package in 2025 was INR 1 Cr, likely for B.Tech/M.Tech, not MSc Biotech.
MSc Integrated Biotechnology at VIT Vellore costs ~INR 75,000/year, excluding hostel fees.Worth it due to good faculty, modern labs, and decent placements, but more focus on cutting-edge topics could enhance value.
Best: Modern labs, vast library, great sports facilities, FFCS flexibility. Worst: Occasional hostel maintenance delays, crowded food courts. Activities: 70+ clubs, festivals like Riviera, research via specialized centers. Students: Diverse, driven, but competitive. Teachers: Qualified, supportive, some less engaging. Support Staff: Efficient, occasionally slow. Location: Green Vellore campus, hot, humid, well-connected. Safety: Safe with 24/7 security, isolated areas less secure at night.
VIT Vellore’s vibrant campus life and strong industry connections enhance the MSc Biotechnology experience, but occasional administrative delays and limited high-paying placements could be improved.
VIT vellore has all the infrastructure, facilities and equipments which are necessary for healthy study environment. It has well working WiFi, Air conditioners in all the classrooms, laboratories and libraries.
The computer science engineering here is good and the quality of teaching by the professors is amazing and also the professors guide us and give us practical knowledge about the course efficiently. Yes the curriculum is being updated regularly
The quality of placement in my college is decent as the placement cell organize many events regarding the development of student. Also the college maintains the balance between studies and sports. Yes the college supports us in placement process.
The campus is modern and well developed. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and decent seating. Computer labs have good systems with the latest software. Wifi is reliable in academic blocks and hostels. The library is extensive with physical and digital resources.
The curriculum is updated regularly to match industry needs. There's a wide range of electives in area like AI, data science, cybersecurity and more. Faculty are generally qualified and approachable though teaching quality can vary by professor.
Placement training is rigorous. There are dedicated classes for aptitude, coding interviews and soft skills. Companies from IT services to top product firms visit for placements. A lot of students land good offers in companies like microsoft.
Hi Subham
No, to get admission in VIT for B.Tech in CSE, AI, you need to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12th. If you're a student of science and have subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology, then you're eligible for the Biotechnology program, which requires a different set of exams.
Some private colleges allow students who have Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12th and want to pursue B.Tech in CSE AI. I hope this information helps you.
Thank you.
