VIT Vellore has been ranked 691 globally for 2026 with an overall score of 25.4.
The campus is modern and well developed. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and decent seating. Computer labs have good systems with the latest software. Wifi is reliable in academic blocks and hostels. The library is extensive with physical and digital resources.
The curriculum is updated regularly to match industry needs. There's a wide range of electives in area like AI, data science, cybersecurity and more. Faculty are generally qualified and approachable though teaching quality can vary by professor.
Placement training is rigorous. There are dedicated classes for aptitude, coding interviews and soft skills. Companies from IT services to top product firms visit for placements. A lot of students land good offers in companies like microsoft.
the college offers a well maintained campus with modern infrastructure. classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors, and the library is stocked with a good collection of books , academics and reference.
The academics curriculum is well-structured and updated with current industry trends. Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, often incorporating cases studies and real-time projects into the teaching process
Placement support is strong, especially for streams like management, computer science, and engineering. Reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in sales, marketing, finance, IT, and core sectors .
The college has top-notch facilities with well-equipped labs and advanced equipments and instruments for research with the provision being always there that we are free to see and use it to know more about its functioning which seems to me the best possible facility one could provide.
The quality of teaching is pretty decent. The curriculum is also updated every once in a while to keep up with the demands of the tech field with new course additions like NLP, Autonomous Drones and many more.
The placement statistics have been decent with a lot of students being placed. The highest package has been 1 crore this year which was received by two of our seniors. A number of good companies come for the placements every year like Microsoft, Walmart, Amazon and many more.
There are different fee structures according to the course and rank (category) so the ROI depends on that as well.
It's pretty exciting and fun with lots of clubs, chapters and technical teams to choose from pertaining to everyone's interests and passions. We have two main fests each year- Gravitas(tech) and Riveria(cultural). Apart from that there are lots of events happening every now and then that it's hard to keep up at times.
VIT Vellore has the most amazing infrastructure! The campus is huge and super clean. Classrooms are modern, labs are well equipped, and there are so many cool spots to hang out. It feels great to study here !
Academics at VIT Vellore are really good. Professors are helpful and classes are well- planned! We also have lot of online resources and projects that make learning fun and interesting. Course structure are well planned.
Placements are really great in our campus! Seniors get offers from big companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Infosys. It motivates us to study really hard and aim for good jobs in future too. Hope I get one!
Frankly speaking, VIT Vellore is a bit expensive, but its worth it. The facilities, teaching and campus life make it feel good value for money. You really get a lot in return of what you give. Totally worth it!
The campus life at VIT Vellore is awesome ! There's always something happening in there - fests, clubs, events, and more. It's fun , exciting and a great way to make friends and learn new things every day.
The infrastructure of the academic blocks is as you expect from any college and is really good and perfect with proper and big and spacious classrooms, labs, along with big spaces for sitting and also canteens shops and even the toilets are really good and well maintained other than that the campus is also really beautiful and spacious with many trees facilities along with transport facilities and various sports ammendments although the hostels depend on which type of block and room you pick they are mostly good except for summer times when vellore is really hot ACs in classrooms should've been put although they are present in labs and rooms, the food is also dependent on your block but it's really mostly good only.
The academic facilities plans the professors are really good also the study procedure and plan is good and you have various methods and ways to learn also wifi is provided which helps in study too the library is one of the biggest and its timings are also appropriate.
I can't give my say on placements since I'm only a second year here but from what I've heard depending on your it's really good and provides enough chances for you to secure a good and deserved job along with the various enterpreneurship facilities provided the placement cell is also helpful and very responsive.
Overall I would say depending on how hard you work it's really value for money as you can easily secure a job that pays your fees back in a year provided you study and prepare hard also you can see where the money you spent goes.
The campus is really alive and hospitable all the students are kind and very responsive as they help you with any problems and the various canteens and shops make it alive and the hostel life is also really good.
Overall insfrastructure is average. academic building are well maintained but hostels are very congested. Once u get any any room its very hard to change(they will act like SBI employees to u when u fill application for room changing).
academically its good and faculty is helpfull and kind towards students But some faculty are Very rude.but i think every place have some good and bad people. overall its decent. proper labs are available with well educated assistants for helping in labs.
Lots of Crowd , so yeah placament is easy but for getting good placement ,u should be in the top students. If u are average student with cgpa less than 7 than its very hard to get any good placement from college even u have skills. bcz its difficult to select students from lots of crowd so companies just set eligibility criteria based on cgpa.
it depends on the course and fee category . for me i think its worth it. But for anyother it depends on the category and course plus whether u are hosteller or day scholar.
Campus life is fucked up genuinely. They have strict rules for everyting and for every other activity they need parents confirmation. LOL...
Don't ruin your life.
VIT Vellore’s vast 372-acre campus features modern classrooms, advanced labs, a huge library, high-speed Wi-Fi, and extensive hostels. Sports facilities and sustainability initiatives enhance student life, making it a well-equipped, vibrant environment for learning and growth.
VIT Vellore provides a flexible, industry-relevant curriculum with experienced faculty. Regular assessments ensure continuous learning. While academics are rigorous and well-structured, large class sizes may reduce individual attention, preparing students effectively for professional challenges.
In 2025, VIT Vellore recorded 12,579 placement offers from 632 companies. The highest package was ₹1 crore, with 2,807 Super Dream (₹10+ LPA) and 2,862 Dream (₹6+ LPA) offers. Top recruiters included Microsoft, Airbnb, and Uber, showcasing the university's strong industry links and placement support system.
VIT Vellore offers excellent value for money with quality education, modern infrastructure, and strong placement opportunities. Though fees are moderate, the high return on investment through internships, industry exposure, and campus facilities makes it a worthwhile choice for engineering and technology students.
VIT Vellore’s campus life is vibrant and diverse, with over 100 clubs, cultural fests like Riviera, and technical events such as GraVITas. Students enjoy sports facilities, recreational spaces, and social activities, fostering a balanced environment that encourages personal growth, creativity, and strong community bonding.
Good infrastructure, have all necessary infra and well equipped labs but classrooms are not equipped with AC , a few building needs renovation and AC classrooms are necessary in high temperatures of Vellore. Wifi timings for hostel sucks, they switch it off at 12.30 am
Great faculty, some of them actually takes interest in teaching, but some of them are biased towards south indian students, giving them more marks. A great variety of teachers available that students can choose on their own. I feel like few subjects like chemistry physics and so many mathmatics related subjects are bit useless.
According to its official website, average package is around 9 Lpa which is quite nice but then student intake is also so much, around 4k freshers every year makes things competitive but if you focus on skills, you can make it easily.
If you get top branches in first 2 or 3 category then overall vit is a really great option for you, you can choose it blindly as it has a good name outside.
Lush green campus, that's where NIRF ranking comes from, overall gives you a really great exposure. Strict rules for girls, only 2 hours outing allowed and in time is 7 pm. You might feel language barrier as most of the guards and wardens only know tamil
If you're someone who lives freedom and don't want to follow rules like school life, this is not for you. Your parents must be really happy if you come here due to safety purpose.

I am currently pursuing Computer Science and Engineering since I was a tech-enthusiast since childhood. In VIT, we get to select faculties and take the number of credits we wish to take in a process called FFCS. The quality of teaching depends on the faculty we select. However, the curriculum is updated every year based on the recent developments and updates in the industry making the student job-ready
The college is well-known for it's placements. VIT is the only private university offering an average package of 10LPA. Even though the market been down, VIT has placed nearly 10000+ students across all the 4 campuses. The highest package offered this year was 1Cr. The placements are based on your CGPA achieved across your course duration. The eligibility of the placement is that there should be no standing arrears at the time of placements.
VIT is definitely worth for money
VIT is believed to be one of the best colleges for having good campus life. There are many events that happen everyday like technical events, singing, dancing etc. These events are open to all students irrespective of their branches. VIT has 50+ clubs and chapters where the student can be a part of depending upon their interest. VIT also conducts 2 major fests: 1. Gravitas(Technical fest) - Students get to participate in workshops, hackathons, competitive coding, etc. It lasts for 3 days 2. Riviera(Cultural fest) - Students can participate in fun activities during the day time and during the evening time, singers and DJs are invited. It lasts for 4 days
Super and fresh environment . sophisticated equipments . Wifi but slow Have smart boards in each class sofa based benches adding more comfort. Cleaning after every lunch break and restrooms are more hygiene.
Studying btech ece core I'm not interested in csc as I don't like comp but since Eve I can prefer both core and it so beneficial becuz i may get intrest in future so .Staffs are friendly. Yes it includes all the recent developments.
I have no idea on placements yet . But heard there is a large opportunity for it . . ..
Of course it's worth the penny. The fee varies from 2 lakh to 5 lakh approx based on your viteee rank.
Just a huge campus takes a day ????. All food and everything is inside. Daily an event is conducted so no boring Always engaged .
With a VITEEE 2025 rank of 54,067, your prospects for securing ECE (Electronics & Communication Engineering) or EEE (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) at VIT Chennai under Category 3 fall into the “possible but not guaranteed” range. Statistically, EEE tends to have a slightly higher cutoff than ECE, so your chances there are marginally better. Securing ECE is more competitive, and would likely require the cutoff to shift higher than in previous years.
Should Category 3 not be available to you, Categories 4 and 5 remain options, though these will involve a significantly higher fee structure.
Recommended steps:
- Actively participate in Phase 2 counselling. Early engagement can make a difference.
- Prioritize ECE as your first choice, with EEE as a backup, and submit your Chennai campus preferences promptly.
Please bear in mind that Category 3 fees are substantially higher than those for Categories 1 or 2. Seat allocation also varies annually, based on applicant numbers, their preferences, and dropout rates.
For more precise, data-driven guidance, you might consider using the VITEEE College Predictor offered by Careers360. If you require assistance comparing ECE and EEE or evaluating campuses, further guidance is available. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-college-predictor
Hello Amit Kumar,
Yes, you might still have an opportunity for admission into VIT-AP with a specialization in CSE in the SC category despite a rank of 219067. Since you missed regular counseling, please go straight to the VIT-AP admission office and inquire about spot round options, or if there is any opportunity in the management quota. In the SC category, sometimes students obtain seats as late as a second and/or special admission phase. This is particularly true in new campuses like VIT-AP, and there often are SC category options available. Your home state of UP will not impede any eligibility, but you need to act quickly.
So, your ward has secured a seat in CSE Core at KIT Bhubaneswar. Within Odisha, KIT’s Computer Science program carries a reliable reputation, both academically and in terms of placements. For students who prefer to remain in Eastern India, this is a logical and stable choice.
Now, with a VIT rank of 31,763, gaining entry into CSE Core at the main Vellore campus is, frankly, unlikely. That said, allied branches—like CSE with a focus on AI/ML, Data Science, or Cybersecurity—are often available at VIT’s other campuses (Chennai, Bhopal, or Andhra Pradesh). IT (Information Technology) is usually an option too.
Here’s what you should consider: If the priority is a traditional CSE degree at a reputable institution closer to home, KIT Bhubaneswar makes sense. If, however, your ward is open to relocating and interested in specialized fields within Computer Science, VIT offers notable advantages—national-level peer exposure, contemporary infrastructure, and strong placement records, even for allied branches.
For a more precise analysis of branches and campuses at VIT, it’s worthwhile to use the VIT College Predictor tool based on your rank and category.
