vit vellore has strong placements , achieving high placements rates (around 90-99%) with major tech companies like microsoft ibm zomato flipkart actively hires from on campus due to strong alumni network of our college.
yes it is indeed a value for money college because it doesnt only offer you good placements but it also teaches you many things such as leadership , morality etc
campus life is very chilled and super exciting because our college often organize fest and other cool events
Honestly, VIT Vellore has really good infrastructure. The campus is of course massive, well maintained. you pretty much get everything you need inside, from academic blocks to hostels and food courts. It does get very crowded though. reallyyy crowded.
Academics are decent overall. with wide range of courses and flexibility too, to choose the ones you want in electives. Quality of teaching depends, but from what ive encountered it was mostly decent. but FFCS is a system where they let you choose and book your slot according to the availability and they let you know that its flexible and all. but tbh its really messy due to overcrowding and literally feles like Tatkal train booking every semester. so that
Yes there will be plenty of companies visiting the campus to get the opportunities. but the shortlisting criteria or whatever they do is sooo unfair and bad. i had a bad experience. not everyone did. but it was a matter of luck again. of course because of the over crowd. plus the whole 2x applying part is messed up.
I wouldnt say its bad for the first category people. so there is this categories system according to your viteee exam rank. so if you get really really good rank only you might get the first or second categories in the fee structure. again, if not, it wouldnt really be value for money. 1st category was 2 lakhs per year, excluding the hostel fee. hostel fee least would be 1.3 lakh per year considering you take 6 bed hostel. so yeah from 2nd category its 3 lakhs, 3rd is 4 lakhs and so on. 5th category is where a lot of people end up in, which is really bad id say. paying more than 5 lakhs just for academic fee alone every year is bad id say.
Pretty good id say with fests and all. but the restrictions are really bad. especially for girls. the hostel restrictions are insane. 7 pm is in time. and even if you cross it for a minute, youd have penalties and stuff. so its bad. but the campus itself is huge and good enough that way. and the whole red tag anna concept of security guards everywhere in the campus hunting for couples and stuff is also weird. but fine i guess. but the campus itself is really pretty and massive. hostel mess is the goat. i mean you get to choose your mess. and there are really good mess caterings here. im sure incomparable with other colleges.
nope.

VIT Vellore is known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure, a unique Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS), strong emphasis on research and innovation, a diverse student population, and a vibrant extracurricular and cultural scene.
The infrastructure of our college is excellent with a big campus for the students to explore. Hostel facilities and canteen is really good but the food should be more hygienically made with care. It also has well designed gyms, sports area, libraries and laboratories.
The professors do advance research in their subjects and are well known for their works. They conduct technical chapters like IEEE etc for gaining leadership qualities, innovative ideas among the students.
The placement records of the college is highest this year with 11k students placed with 868 companies visited this year like PayPal, JPMorgan, Cisco, Microsoft etc. 10LPA for this year among 3563 for super dream offers and 6LPA among 3499 for dream offers.
Academic buildings are good, classrooms are large to accomodate lots of students, labs are ac and well equipped. Hostel facilities are good ranging from 1-6 bed ac/non-ac rooms with wifi service. Mess food is decent with good variety. Laundry and transport services are available on campus. Sports facilities, gym, library, etc are available.
Faculties are mostly good. Fully flexible credit system allows for freedom in selecting courses and faculties. Classes are standard board teaching. Course content is good, keeps constantly updating. 3 sets of exams are conducted, each with a different pattern. Research facilities and labs are good and projects are encouraged. Student exchange programs are also available for those interested.
Current placement season is rough due to recession however companies are hiring with decent packages that are an improvement over previous years. Multiple companies ranging from core to it as well as consultancy come for recruiting.
VIT is good if you make most of the oppurtunities regardless of how much you spend. Multi category fee system means preferably its better to be a higher category student for reduced fee as fees can go very high for lower category based on VITEEE rank.
Campus is nice and lush, lots of space for walking and activities. Crowd is diverse and good, multiple social circles exist. Clubs and Chapters also promote campus life with extra curriculars and other activities
VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.
M.Tech Biotech academics at VIT is good. Teachers mostly PhDs, explain genetics, bioprocess clear. FFCS lets pick timings, cool system. But some lectures boring, exams tough. Research projects nice, I worked on enzymes. Strict 75% attendance, no skip. Learn if work hard.
Placements for M.Tech Biotech okay, not great. Around 50% get jobs, like Biocon, Serum Institute. Roles research or quality, pay 4-6 LPA, max 12 LPA. Less companies for biotech. Training helps, but many do PhD or off-campus jobs. Network key for success.
M.Tech Biotech fees 1.8 lakh yearly, plus hostel 50k. Total 4 lakh two years. Worth for VIT brand, good infra, faculty. Scholarships cut costs, I got 20k off. But low biotech salaries, not instant ROI. Better than small colleges, decent value overall.
Campus life at VIT super fun. Clubs for dance, biotech, tech, over 70. Riviera fest big, celebs perform. Diverse friends, food courts nice. Strict rules, 9pm curfew girls, humid weather. Sports active, I played volleyball. Safe but isolated spots scary night
College infrastructure is good, it includes well equipped libraries, wifi facility, computer labs, canteen, hostel, clean classrooms and other facilities. Campus has clean and green environment with a big ground.
The teachers were knowledgeable but management is not cooperative they should focus more on club activities rather the college facilities. Otherwise faculties of my college were good and friendly nature.
Placement opportunities and internship opportunities of our college is good even for ug course also, one can get a good exposure of working while studying. As only 60-70% students got intership from the college. Companies like TCS, Wipro, CTS visit our college for recruitment.
