      It's going okay only.

      College Infrastructure

Great lab infrastructure. Many advance equipments. Big campus with many food options available. Very crowded though, it's like there is a whole city inside the campus. Buses are there to travel inside the campus.

      Academics

Academics are decent. Depends majorly on the professors. Some are really, many are average. Too many exams though, mid exams and quizes, assignment, you have to study alot. The college focuses more on research.

      Placements

Placement is okay. Very few gets good placement. Mostly there is mass recruitment by companies like TCS. The placement percentage is good but many get below average packages only. And limited core companies come for other branches.

      Value for Money

A bit expensive. And the price is going up every year. You have to pay for every thing. And it gets too much sometimes. Facilities available are also a bit pricy. Too many students make things more expensive.

Flexible academics with excellent placements and campus life

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

VIT Vellore has excellent infrastructure with modern academic buildings, well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms, a spacious library, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. The hostels are well maintained, and there are good sports facilities, cafeterias, auditoriums, and green spaces. The campus is clean, safe, and provides a comfortable environment for learning. However, due to the large student population, some facilities can become crowded during peak hours. Overall, the infrastructure is impressive and supports both academics and extracurricular activities very well.

      Academics

I am pursuing B.Tech at VIT Vellore because of its industry-oriented curriculum and good placement opportunities. The quality of teaching is good, with knowledgeable faculty members and regular assignments, quizzes, and practical sessions. One of the biggest advantages is the Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS), which allows students to choose their preferred faculty, class timings, and timetable according to their convenience. This flexibility helps students learn from the best professors and manage their academic workload more effectively, although getting preferred slots can be competitive during course registration.

      Placements

The placement opportunities at VIT Vellore are good, with many reputed national and international companies visiting the campus every year. A large percentage of eligible students get placed through campus recruitment, especially those who maintain good academic performance and develop strong technical and communication skills. The university also provides placement training, coding practice, aptitude sessions, and mock interviews to help students prepare. The average package is decent, while students with excellent skills can secure higher salary offers from top companies.

      Value for Money

I am enrolled under Category 4, so the tuition fee is comparatively higher than the lower fee categories. While the cost is on the expensive side, I feel the university offers good value through its modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, flexible academic system (FFCS), placement opportunities, and exposure to various clubs and events. Students who make good use of the available resources, internships, and placement support can find the investment worthwhile.

      Campus Life

The VIT Vellore campus is vibrant, green, and well maintained, with modern facilities for academics, sports, and student life. There are numerous clubs and chapters covering technical, cultural, literary, and social activities, giving students plenty of opportunities to explore their interests and build new skills. Annual events and fests create an energetic campus atmosphere. The best features are the diverse student community, excellent infrastructure, and flexible academic system. One drawback is that the campus can feel crowded because of the large student population, especially in hostels, cafeterias, and during course registration. Overall, campus life is engaging and offers a good balance between academics and extracurricular activities.

      Others

VIT Vellore offers a good balance of academics, placements, and extracurricular opportunities. Students who are proactive and make use of the available resources can gain valuable skills and industry exposure. The competition can be high due to the large student intake, but there are plenty of opportunities for those who stay consistent and work hard. Overall, it is a good choice for students looking for quality education and strong career prospects.

      College Infrastructure

Its really good.Have all facilities like gym, basketball ground, tennis ground, badminton etc. Academic buildings are also really nice.Food is average and wifi is good but at night after 12 it doesnt works.

      Academics

Its nice but in the last you have to study by yourself to crack placement. The teachers are average and by the way you can select your teachers by yourself from 2nd sem .And yes the curriculum is updated recently.

      Placements

Placements are little bit declining because of the inflation and AI. But you will get opportunities and its really depends on you how are you using the opportunities. You can see the placements links also.

      Value for Money

The hostel's fees is really high. Do check that.

      Campus Life

Its good having events and having 150+clubs.

VIT provides an open ocean of opportunities.

      College Infrastructure

The labs are incredibly well-funded, the smart classrooms are pristine, and the iconic, circular central library is an absolute masterpiece for studying. Food options are everywhere, ranging from basic mess food to high-end food courts and international chains.

      Academics

FFCS allows you to choose your own professors, class timings, and weekly schedule. In theory, it is wonderful. In practice, it turns into an online bidding war every semester where thousands of students log in at the same split second.

      Placements

The catch is the competition. When a company walks in looking for 20 candidates, you aren't just competing with your classmates; you are competing with thousands of peers across identical or allied branches. The average/median package typically sits around 7 to 9 LPA for engineering.

"My college has excellent infrastructure and equipment"

      College Infrastructure

My college has all the necessary infrastructure, advanced equipment, and modern facilities required, lectures highly interactive. The laboratories are fully stocked with modern equipment. Library offers a massive collection of books alongside a quiet digital study zone. For extracurriculars, the sports center features excellent indoor and outdoor courts that are regularly maintained. Regarding campus life, the hostels are cleaned daily, ensuring very hygienic living spaces. The mess and cafeteria serve fresh, hygienic food.

      Academics

I am currently studying B.S. in mechanical engineering because I want to build a career in software engineering and artificial intelligence. Overall, the quality of teaching at my institution is highly commendable. They combine theoretical lectures with hands-on coding labs, making complex concepts like algorithms and data structures much easier to grasp. "While the curriculum provides a strong foundation in core theories, it sometimes lags behind the most rapid, cutting-edge developments. To be truly job-ready, I find it necessary to supplement my studies, self-learning, and personal projects. The program builds the essential mindset, but adding more industry-standard tools and practical internships would better bridge the gap to immediate employment

      Placements

The quality of placements at our college is excellent with many top-tier companies visiting the campus annually. Placement Metrics & Highest Package: Approximately [85%] of the eligible students from our batch were successfully placed. The highest salary package offered was an impressive 98 LPA, which was secured by a student from the B.Tech Computer Science course. Average Package: The average salary package offered across branches stands at a solid 7.5 LPA, ensuring that a majority of students land competitive starting offers. Process & Support: The overall placement process was smooth, structured, and highly professional. The college placement cell was incredibly supportive throughout, organizing regular mock interviews, resume-building workshops, and technical training sessions that helped ease our anxiety and fully prepared us for the recruitment drive.

      Value for Money

My university course cost approximately 700000 per year, and I firmly believe I got my money's worth. The curriculum was highly hands-on and kept pace with current industry standards, which made transitioning into my career seamless. Additionally, the professors were active professionals in their fields, providing invaluable networking opportunities and practical mentorship that justified every penny spent.

      Campus Life

This vibrant campus offers a beautifully designed, environment with standout features like a state-of-the-art five-story library and a diverse array of over 50 student clubs, though it is slightly hindered by limited parking and dining options. The community is exceptionally inclusive, defined by highly accessible professors, proactive support staff, and a collaborative student body. Perfectly situated in a pedestrian-friendly suburban area, the college prioritizes safety through 24/7 security patrols and a robust emergency alert system, making it an excellent and secure choice for higher education.

      Feeling good after giving review

      College Infrastructure

The facilities available on campus are sufficient for students academic activities. However, a few parts of the infrastructure could be improved to make the campus more comfortable and student friendly.

      Academics

The curriculum provides a strong base in the core subjects, and the faculty is always willing to help. That said, increasing practical sessions and updating the syllabus regularly could enhance the overall learning experience.

      Placements

The placement cell provides a good platform for students to connect with recruiters. Students who prepare consistently are able to secure offers, though there is still potential to improve the overall placement reach and package levels.

All facilities are above average and are well maintained, living spaces especially the deluxe hostels are very good and the food is average mostly but good. It's very clean tho, despite the extreme heat.

      Academics

Depends on the faculty, but that depends on you as you have full freedom to choose your subjects' faculty to your liking, however the time table isn't that flexible as they make it seem. (SMEC, B-TECH)

      Placements

I haven't reached that stage yet but from people I've heard, it's average. Nothing fancy of any sorts tbh. Like only few get any LPAs about 5, It's very competitive, can't really blame the college for it.

      Value for Money

good infrastructure, if u get it in CATEGORY 1 go for it, for CSE CAT-2,3 is also alright anything above try elsewhere.

Really well-maintained infrastructure. the laboratory components are well maintained and really safe to use as well. living spaces are clean, though food is not up to the standard mark. besides the library is great.

      Academics

im studying biotechnology. the quality of teaching is nice, teachers are chosen by the students itself and most of them clear doubts as well. although a few teachers are blacklisted, so students should consider whom they study from. curriculum is updated last year only.

      Placements

the placements are okay, for a private engineering college, though for a branch like biotech most students opt for higher studies in this field and more projects to take to build in their resume. i have personally not taken part in this process.

      Value for Money

mine costed 3.95lakhs per year for this course. i mean i did not have any other option so i had to choose this one. consider this for biotech, it is really nice and comes under top institutions to study biotech in this country

      Campus Life

strict campus life. especially strict for college going girls living inside the hostel there is mandatory dress code and wardens of girl hostels are really strict. besides for boys it is easy going...
