Hi,
As your rank is in 6 lac. But can u tell me in which category you are in. As college allocate the seats on the basis of the quota. If you have any quota than try in that category otherwise you can also try for the University on the basis of the jee mains marks with board marks. As Mechanical branch have huge scope in the government sector. So I think that you should admit in any college and do preparation for the govt. Job through gate, IES and many more....

your JEE mains rank is really low try any private college and even then you will get mechanical engineering only when you have really good 12th PCM score
