Which has got more scope.. Either B. Sc or B. A.??
Dear Bhargavi, BA is for mainly Arts and B.Sc is for Science. Their career scope majorly depends on the career path you want to choose. There are few subjects which are offered both as a BA degree and a B.Sc degree. In these cases, both courses provide you with same value and scope. The only difference being in BA, you get to learn the subject through communication and analytical skills whereas B.Sc concentrates more on analytical and practical perspective.

Bachelor of Arts vs Bachelor of Science:
- The course you choose plainly is based on your interests. If you are interested in the scientific and technological aspects of a subject then you will be more suited in a B.Sc. course. However, if you want to look at the subject from an overview of social sciences and humanities then B.A is where you are more suited.
- A B.A degree is a more generalised study of many courses taught. It ranges in aspects covered. It covers concepts of humanities, social sciences and even natural sciences to an extent. However, a B.Sc. programme on the other hand is more focused in and around the actual area of study covering concepts of science and technology associated with the subject.
- A B.Sc. degree is more focused at the curriculum at hand and has more marks and credits linked to the subject you are studying. However, a B.A. programme does experiment with the course it offers and the curriculum, there are holistic activities which holistically develop you and get you credits.
- You can experiment with the subjects you are studying in a B.A course, however, a B.Sc. course does not give you this freedom to experiment.
- A B.A. course on one hand sharpens your writing and communication skills and allows you to think critically, a B.Sc. degree on the other hand fosters analytical and detailed understanding of the subject at hand.
- Both have approximately the same futuristic opportunities. Equal job and educational opportunities open up after these course. However, when deciding on which is better you should consider what suits you better.
All the best!
