Raiganj University Placement Cell organises various training sessions for the students and aids the placement activities held at the campus and it also guides them in their careers related decisions. The overall personality development of the students is well taken care of. Students are a part of various skill enhancement programmes where they can hone their skills. One of the major objectives of the placement cell is to ensure that the maximum number of students gets placed in a reputed company.
Raiganj University Placement Process
Sending an invitation to the companies - The training and placement cell invites the companies by sending an e-mail for conducting Raiganj University placements.
Acceptance of invitation - After the invitation, if the company wishes to conduct the recruitment drive, it will accept the invitation and revert back to the Placement Cell, showing their interest in the further Raiganj University process.
Fixing of Dates - Upon mutual agreement between the company and the Placement Cell of the varsity, dates are fixed for conducting campus recruitment and a complete schedule is finalised for the campus recruitment and it is shared with the students.
Registration of the interested students and submission of CVs - Candidates interested in participating in the Raiganj University placement drive have to register themselves with the placement drive. Further, they have to submit their updated resume that will be used during the recruitment process.
Shortlisting of registered candidates - The recruiters send their eligibility criteria and based on the specific academic requirements also known as pre-hiring demands such as minimum percentage, etc, candidates are shortlisted for the further Raiganj University placement process.
Pre Placement Talk to be delivered by the company - The next stage is the Pre Placement talk. The company delivers a pre-placement talk for the students on the finalised date, according to the fixed schedule in order to make them aware of the basic policies, key aspects of the company, work environment so that the students get an insight into the company.
Written Tests - After the pre-placement talk, the CV’s of the shortlisted students are screened and selected. The selected students have to appear for a written test. The test can be taken in separate rounds depending upon the recruiter and students qualifying the test makes a move to the next stage of the recruitment drive.
Group Discussion - Students who are successful in qualifying the written test will further have to participate in Group Discussion. They will be given a topic for discussion wherein they have to present their thoughts in front of the interviewers and show their oratory skills.
Interview - Candidates who get shortlisted during the Group Discussion have to qualify the interview taken by the companies. These interviews may or may not have several rounds. The personal interview ensures that the right candidate is being selected for the job role.
Final Placement and Job Offer - Candidates who are successful in qualifying all the stages of the Raiganj University placement process will be finally selected and a final offer letter to join the company will be given to them.
