how is the placement food engineering at tezpur University?
Hi,
Tezpur University has a nice campus. Now for food engineering and technology, faculties are good but at the end of the day, your self study will count. Placements are decent, or sometimes just fine or close to average. Computer Science is said to have the maximum number of placements, almost 94%. But for other streams the same can't be said.
For Food engineering, companies like ITC, Dabur, Adani group, Nestle etc visit. Internships are also provided to students in companies like Mother Dairy, Britannia. And with each year, they are showing gradual improvement in the placement rate. Average CTC ranges from 3-12lpa.
Hope that was helpful.

does food engineering comes under chemical engineering
Hello,
Food engineering course of four years and 8 semesters in which you are told about food packing nutrition science. This course covers food preparation, handling, operation and storage, conservation, control, packaging and distribution of food products.
for someone to become a food scientist, which college would you prefer for m.tech - Food Engineering at IIT Kharagpur or Joint Programme Food Science and Technology at IIT Guwahati?
Hello aspirant,
Both M.Tech Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and International Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree (IMD) in Food Science and Technology offered by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and Gifu University, a national University in Japan are best at there places. There are only 5 seats for Indians and another 5 seats for Japan students for Joint Master of Technology in Food Technology course in Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati which has high competition. If you can get seat then go for it or else go for M.Tech in Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur because it has 30 seats for this course. As you know both the Institutions has the brand called IIT, so both of them are good at their academics and placements.
To get more information about M.Tech Food Processing Engineering course in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur go through below mentioned link.
I hope this information will help you.
