Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with pass marks in (1) Physics, (2) Mathematics, (3) Language, (4) any subject (Chemistry, Biology, Biotech, Technical vocational subjects), (5) Any other subject and with minimum 60% (55% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks in above subjects taken together
Lateral Entry: Diploma in Civil Engineering from an AICTE approved program. Duration of Diploma must be: (i) 03 years after 10th (Matriculation) in conventional system (ii) 04 years after 10th (Matriculation) in modular system The Candidate must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with 60% marks in aggregate and must have secured 60% marks in Mathematics, as well as must have a minimum aggregate of 70% marks at Diploma level.
Admission Details
Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech. Programmes are required to appear in the JEE (Main) to be conducted by NTA, New Delhi. All admission shall be based on JEE (Main) All India Ranking/CRL.
The Candidates who appear in the JEE (Main) have two channels for admission to the B. Tech. Programmes.
- 40% of the total seats shall be made through the central counselling i.e. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) based on JEE (Main). The Candidates of any lace of India can participate in “Central Counselling” conducted by CSAB/ JoSA (Online Choice filling process), to get admission in Tezpur University (TU) against these 40% seats.
- 60% of the total seats shall be made through the Tezpur University Counselling. These seats are reserved for the permanent residents of North East (NE) States. The Candidates need to fill-up Tezpur University application form in addition to JEE (Main) - application. The applicants desiring a seat under the NE quota PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by the competent authority will be required.

My college Tezpur University infrastructure is very good. My university has good classrooms, neat and clean environment friendly campus, very good hostel to make thousand of memories and good sports facilities. The campus and hostel have wifi facilities for the students. Overall the infrastructure of my college is vey good.

College Infrastructure
Tezpur university has one of the biggest libraries in north east. It also has well furnished guest houses for parents to visit and stay there. The hostels and classrooms are also very well equipped. The size is also good. Its sufficient. The food in the hostels are also hygienic. The food situation is rather very good in comparison to many other institutes. We've basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, tennis court, swimming pool, and a lot more.
Good for knowledge, not for placement.
