For admission in mbbs do i have to register in mumbai university?
You needn't register for Mumbai University separately for admission to MBBS. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS courses in Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges, Deemed/Central Universities. Now 15% of the Government Medical Seats are filled through All India Counselling and 85% of the seats in GMCs, Private Medical Colleges are filled through State Counselling. The Commissionerate of the Common Entrance Test will release the cut offs and the merit list for MBBS/BDS across the State. Once they release the online registration form for Counselling, you need to pay the refundable and non refundable security deposit and participate in the Counselling process. That is the only registration process that you need to participate in. The State Quota seats are filled divided into 70% Regional quota and 30% State Quota. The 70% Regional quota seats are reserved for Candidates belonging to Vidarbha, Marathwada and Rest of Maharashtra. And the Constitutional quota of Maharashtra is for Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Vimukta Jati/Denotified Tribes, NT-A,B,C,D and OBC. NT-B falls under OBC Category. Please check the previous years cut offs at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-maharashtra and you can also use our MBBS Companion for counselling purposes: https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion
