Placament Kai hei Bolo na please
Each Departments has its own story, different set of Pros and Cons.
I am a student of E.C.E. so i can tell you about my Electronics branch only:-
Pros:-
Texas Instrument has recently setup 2 Labs ( Integrated Circuits & Embedded system) in our department.
I believe ANSYS in setting up a Radiation testing facility in the mechanical engineering department, & I guess ECE students will also get to work on it.
Permanent Teachers & support staff, are very supportive but most of the classes will be taken by Guest/Non-permanent faculty that are not at all supportive.
More Teachers will be recruited in a short while.
Quality of lectures delivered by Rajan Sir (Embedded Systems) and Dr. Sudhanshu Verma Sir is very good.
VLSI Design research lab has been engaged in some research activities for long under the guidance of Dr. R.K. Chauhan sir. Cons:-
Poor quality of lectures being delivered by guest faculties.
Problems with the new Attendance Systems and the attitude of Guest faculties.
Some labs are not in good Condition eg the Microwave and Optical Communication Lab.
Placement :- No ECE (core) specific companies come for campus placement. This time Idea and LAVA had come for the placements but still their profile was not very good ultimately many students settle with the IT/CS firms such as TCS, Wipro, NIIT.....etc but this is the problem (regarding placement) with all Pvt colleges and State Govt colleges & with many NITs as well.
The main problem with the ECE department is that Permanent Teachers are too busy with their official work and students of 2nd/3rd/4th year are largely handled by the Guest faculties (that are just wasting precious time of their life). A student in ECE department gets little from the department side. He has to work hard to make his fortune click in the ECE Department. But if you are not making into IITs or some good NITs then MMMUT (ECE) is a nice compromise/option.
Dear Student,
It provides good placements.
According, to careers 360 it has AAA+ rating which means good.
Ratings are based on Faculty, Placements, Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status and Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus.
