CSE Course fees in IIIT Kottayam is 8,55,000/- and in IIIT Dharwad fees is 10,96,000/-

IIIT Kottayam is far ahead of other colleges in terms of its curriculum, which initially was not being impactful because of less recognition, but now things are changing. IIIT Kottayam follows the curriculum of IIIT Hyderabad. As the Institute has a supreme focus on developing a (great) coding culture among its students, all the core skills required for instilling the notion to code is taught in the 1st semester itself.

The central idea of the college revolves around its coding culture. Earlier, due to less strength of students, the coding culture was not able to make an impact, but in the last year, many national-level feats have been achieved by the students.

• This is one of the few new IIIT’s with its campus. The college has almost completed Phase-2 of construction, and thereby all the necessary things are available on the campus.
• Classrooms have full centralized AC, and lectures are given on a whiteboard with a projector.
• The college has a student-driven mess that provides food, keeping in mind the diversity of students in the college. North Indians are comfortable with the food provided here.
• There are a total of 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. The college has an auditorium to accommodate around 150 students. Construction of all sports ground is near to end and will be ready soon.
• Three computer labs have 24*7 access and one electronics lab.
• The college has a well equipped Gym with all the facilities.
• The incredible thing about this college is that all buildings have WIFI access with a speed of around 300-600mbps and in labs with LAN of 1 Gbps or more. Yes, 1 Gbps. Students can use them 24*7 with no limitation. Our college is connected via the NKN(national knowledge network, which provides high-speed internet to all of the IIT’s, NITs, etc.
• Although the college has a small library, the institute has provided full access to a virtual library.
• The college provides daily access to the nearby town through a bus.
• During the pandemic, the college has successfully conducted all its classes on a self-made online platform Moodle along with Virtual Lab.
• To meet some of the demands of students, the college has also provided the facility to access premium courses available on Coursera for free.
• The college has also provided every student with their G Suite account(which means unlimited Google Drive Storage along with various other perks).
• Students are also provided with GitHub Pro Membership.

Iiit Kottayam is not among the best of IIITs but it is considered to be a pretty mediocre one and many private colleges like bits , manipal, vit Vellore are better than iiit Kottayam.

The cut offs of this college depends on certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Here I would prefer to join nit andhra pradesh as it has better course cirriculum and focusses more on research which ultimately improves the academic level of nitap also the placements here are better if you compare as a whole although with iiit pune you might get the location advantage but overall looking at placements academics and other factors I would suggest you to join NITAP  so choose wisely.

hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that NIT nagpur will be the better option to peruse btech in civil enginerring. It holds very good nirf ranking and has nit tag whichs helps to provide very good alumni network . Moreover , I always say to look for college over branch as in the end students of all branches get equal opportunities for placements . Faculities are also very well qualified . The average package goes around 11 lakhs and highest went around 34 lakhs

Dear applicant although we know Computer Science Engineering is a very widely chosen stream but considering the two Institutes I would suggest you to choose Civil in NIT Calicut. As it is a well ranked Institute,reputed and well maintained by the college authority as well. When comes to placements average salary packages offered are nearly 8-9 LPA for Civil Engineering branch also, the Faculties involve yourself into research works and your academic experience would be overwhelming.
