I would suggest you to prefer IT at VJTI over CSE at IIIT Kottayam. VJTI is one of the best engineering institutes of Maharashtra after IIT Bombay, VNIT and COEP having excellent infrastructure, faculty and research facilities. The institute has a huge locational advantage being located near IT, Finance and Technology hubs of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and nearby Pune and hence enjoys a strong employer outlook. Most of top companies like Accenture, Jio, Reliance, Texas Instruments, Morgan Stanley, Godrej, L&T, Infosys,Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto visit the campus with more than 85% placements each season.

VJTI Mumbai also has an excellent tradition of students preparing for GATE/GRE and moving abroad or to higher technical institutes in India for Masters or Doctoral Education. This tells you about the strong campus culture and peer environment of the institute, hence providing effective engineering education.

Hello,

Yes you can get the scholarships. Contact the incharge person in your college who deals with the scholarship related problems.Usually all the colleges have particularly assigned experts who inform about the same.

Hi Candidate,

If you are a student who is specially interested in Information Technology and Computer Science Applications, then I would say that IIIT Kottayam is the better choice for you.

But if you are having interest in other fields such as Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electronics etc and are a student or Domicile Holder of Maharashtra you should go for MH CET seats.

Hope that this answer helps you.

CVR College of engineering, Range reddy. It was established in the year 2001.The nirf ranking of this college is 141.infrastructure and academics of this college is good.coming to placement structure, placements in this college is quite  good .nearly 90% of the students got placed in different structure. Top recruiting companies visit this campus every year. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA.Faculty is very helpful to the students and highly qualified. So in my point of view,CVR is better than iiit kottayam.Hope this information helps you.

Hello student,

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam is an autonomous engineering Institute located in Kottayam District, Kerala. Many courses are offered here. The fees for CSE course is aeound 8.52 lakhs for the whole course. It is a new IIIT college established in the year 2015.  So, the highest salary package offered to the pass out batch is aeound 9 LPA. Other facilities are good here.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool is a technical education institute established by MHRD, Government of India in 2015. Many courses are offered here. The fees for CSE course is around 3.92 lakhs for the whole course. In the academic year 2018-19, IIITDM Kurnool held its first placements session. Some of the top recruiters included Wipro, Gavs Tech, Shriram Value and PayPal etc. The highest salary package offered was aeound 10.5 LPA whereas the average salary package was around 4.77 LPA. Other facilities are also good here.

Overall, from these two IIIT Kurnool is somewhat better in terms of placements.

Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,

you can get fee reimbursement completely you have to show your income certificate stating that your family annual income is less than 2.5 lakhs

You can even receive scholarship from central government scheme

But there is no reimbursement for hostel and mess fees .

IIIT Kottayam encourages the students to apply for various agencies offering financial assistance. Currently, no direct financial assistance is available from the institution. All the students including SC/ST/OBC have to pay the tuition fee, hostel fee etc. The students should apply for scholarship, bank loans, and fee concessions directly to the respective State Government / Authorities. Such applications are always recommended and forwarded by the Institute for the benefits of the students.

Hope it helps!

Hi Aspirant,

CSE SASTRA:If you are opting for computer related course like CSE/IT then this college is for you since this college gives you a high chance of placement from software companies like AMAZON,MICROSOFT,GOOGLE.Moreover the course curriculum in this college is awesome and it enables the students to take a deeper understanding in the subject. If you work hard at the end of four years you may get placed in MNCs.

IIIT KOTTAYAM:It is another excellent college and it gives almost 95%+ placements in CSE.TCS,IBM recruits large number of students. Moreover it follows curriculum of IIT Hyderabad and has a good faculty members. It is a good college and you will surely end up in building a strong base and have a good hold over the mastering stream.
