Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (BIGCE) Solapur offers a broad spectrum of engineering programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels. The BIGCE admission process aims to choose meritorious candidates through several national and state-level entrance examinations. In undergraduate programs, BIGCE considers the scores of JEE Main and MHT CET primarily. In addition, the college ranks other entrances, such as JEE Advanced, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, BITSAT, and WBJEE, with some acceptance of their scores. Thus, admission of students is fairly open, with considerations for various pathways of entry. Admission cycles normally fall in the same calendar year starting around August-September.
The admission processes for the B.Tech programs are contingent on the relative performance in the entrance examination conducted and Class XII marks obtained by the candidate. With respect to lateral entry stream B.Tech programs, the college offers six programs: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Postgraduate admissions for ME and MCA are governed by the graduation scores along with the entrance test, in their respective subjects. The programs of ME Water Resource Engineering and MCA are offered at BIGCE.
