One of best colleges in Bangalore

Posted on 05 Jun' 19 by rahul shetty
Batch of 2019 | BE Computer Science and Engineering
I would love to share my experience here. As a fresher just out of my 12th and from a small town, I was looking for an engineering college where I can explore myself. I was looking for a platform where I can learn and grow. My search for the right institute ended with NMIT. It was the right place for me not only to learn but also to explore different avenues. I would rather say it was a launch pad for me where I can spread my wings and I had the support of my faculty and seniors to guide me well where I go wrong. The most beautiful part is the campus. Though, a little remote for the daily commuters, the calmness and serenity of the campus, away from the chaos of the city adjusts and levels the score. For someone worrying about the placements, I would like to share to say that you need to learn and explore, participate in different cultural and extracurricular activities in the campus and the rest is assured.

* Placements are good for CS, ECE and IS * Hostel is considerably good. * North Indians can have a comfortable stay at the hostel. * Departments have R&D's which is a added advantage of you want to pursue your career in research. Only disadvantage is that it is little away from the city so there are no hangout places nearby.

Nitte is a very good college located in South Bangalore. Faculty are very good here.It also good placements in both IT and core companies. The only negative point about this college is that it has very strict rules and regulations. But it is a good college to join to enjoy college life and to get good placements.

The college itself is very big. The infrastructure is relatively new. The faculty is very distinguished and approachable. The crowd here is extremely friendly. Students get exposure in many activities. Hostel life is amazing. The college is well connected to the main road too. All in all a very positive feedback from this college.

This college is not the one you would want to get in if you have high hopes. The faculty is not up to the mark. The college campus is very small confined in a very small space. Connectivity is a big problem as it lies in the extreme outskirts of the city. Infrastructure is fine. The industry exposure and placement are not very impressing. overall, this is not a college i would recommend.

Well here in Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology you will get all kind of stuffs necessary for a student. It has a got a decent environment and a good lot of faculty. The types of project they take up helps you to learn more and more. Things can be annoying sometime but still you will enjoy the vicinity. You can join the college for last option.

Its all good if you see it as a college and not compare with IIT. The type of projects it work upon the way teachers help and all the source of knowledge are up to mark. There is a possibility for more development which it will improve for sure. Here you have a perfect balance of Study and Fun. Weather being awesome helps in studies and sleep. You won't regret it unless you work smart and hard from your end. Lastly i will say once you come here its your temple worship it and dont curse as only you can make a college good or bad.

MISFIT FOR NON-KANNADIGAS or COMEDK APPLICANTS

Batch of 2014 | BE Computer Science and Engineering
On the onset, the various facts have been distorted in the overview say student to teacher ratio being 30:1 is absolutely understated. It is 55:1 in reality. The infrastructure facilities were below average, to say the least. No access to Wi-Fi on campus. No power backup in the hostel, playgrounds were 'One-Size-Fits-All' kinda stuff as the same ground was used for hockey, football & other sports practices & on top of that it was also ill-maintained. Corporate exposure was absolutely nil, in fact, one or two odd seminars or workshops that I witnessed in my 4 years were irrelevant & there was no value addition at all. Coming on to the college life, it was monotonous throughout the entire stint as the intra-branch fest(be it Cryptic/Metallica) or inter-college technical fest (ANAADYANTA) had the majority of the localities in its organising committee which hardly had any representation from non-kannadiga. The faculty is decent in particular the CSE branch(wid few having a good hold on the subject). The crowd is ok types with communication skills of both a majority of students & quite a few faculties being below par. There was no articulation in their speech at all & compounded with grammatical errors.Placements were all cock & bull stuff which was less than <60% by the end of the academic calendar. I feel 9 lacs(137500*4 + additional fees) for a degree which doesn't guarantee you even a 3 LPA job is just not worth the effort. Last but not the least, the administration department led by Ms. ****,Mr. **** & Co. is the most uncouth one with no regard for the person on the other side of the table. My advice to all non-kannadigas looking for a good engineering career & experience through COMEDK entrance would be - "Don't look beyond the top 3 colleges in the city".

Can gain experience, knowledge and correct exposure for the industrial requirement's. U can have a great time in this college that too during college fest. No problems in at least in the electronics branch lab's. Just have the fun and studies and u can get easily get placed at least in an IT sector(This college is basically for CSE, Ise and Ece branch students).

Awesome environment. Good infrastructure with nice faculty. Enjoyable as there will be many events going on by many clubs in the college. Also for those who have to move out of the home and stay outside, the campus stay will be quite attractive. And also, we have a lot of workshops going on the campus. Good mix of students from across the country. mechanical and Information Science departments are very good.

While not exactly the IIT or NiT, this college is above average, compared to the other colleges around. Lots of research projects to work on. The teaching staff is above average too. One of the very few drawbacks is that the college is in the middle of nowhere. No place to hang out, etc.

NMIT is an autonomous Institute. The environment of college is very good. Just the problem is it is way far from city and facilities are not nearer to college. But the placements are way beyond imagination. Incoming 3-4 years this college will be in the top colleges as this is an AUTONOMOUS college. The campus is not so big. Faculties are so good and helping in nature. College is very good. Can be a good option for you.

Peaceful environment. Far from the city. The infrastructure is good and the faculty are good as well, The hostel is good but the only problem is the food, it takes them to adjust to the food The placements are generally more for the cs and is the department, Aeronautical is the new branch, and they are planning to start to robotics too. I think it's a good choice for this college

UNWORTHY College. MISFIT for Non-Kannadiga

Batch of 2014 | BE Computer Science and Engineering
I am sharing the plight of many non-kannadigas like me who come to the city for pursuing Engineering.I don't have anything positive to say except for the fact that the faculty at Computer Science Engineering(CSE) department was relatively good in comparison to anything else apart in the college. The autonomous department was the worst among the lot with least cooperation that you could expect from a strategically important part of the college. There was a lot of bias for Kannadigas be it in sports, cultural activities, fest etc The play grounds are in awful condition till date. The Physical Director is more of a kind of hoodlum, doesn't have the mannerism to talk to pass outs. All in all what I can say is if you are looking for doing B.Tech/B.E. in Bangalore only RVCE & PESIT are good options.CHRIST UNIVERSITY would be the best option for any course i.e. B.Com/BBM/BBA/MBA/BCA.The kind of student life that CHRIST will give you is unparalleled in Bangalore.

Extracurricular activities are very much entertained in the college. The faculty was friendly and campus is beautiful. the only drawback about this college is No BMTC bus facilities and the college bus fees is expensive it must be compulsorily paid by every student!! Overall its a good college where you can get placed for sure if you are in CSE dept :) Knowledge of Tulu always helps :) :)

We roamed around campus and we pretended like our own college and professors were very supportive for us and our head of the department was like our hero. College fest gone well.
