Dear student,

Firstly congratulations on your success. Now if you belong to home state then you can get chemical engineering branch with ease in rv college of engineering.

Now,

RV COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING - the top private college of Karnataka where the rankers get seat.
And, on the other hand
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING - one of the most reputed, trending and demanding engineering branches in INDIA.

Now, if you are getting chemical engineering in rv college of engineering, then you must go for it.
Because the chemical engineering branch of rv college is very good among other colleges of Bangalore. The laboratory is very well furnished and equipments are very good and you will also get good and great faculties, and you will get lot of time to prepare for other national level competitions like upsc / gate / ssc je, etc and will get lot of study materials. And the placements are quite better than any other private colleges of Bangalore. The median package is around 4 lakhs per annum and highest package last year was around 13.5 lakhs per annum.

Now the main thing is that, if you are really interested in chemical engineering then college doesn't matters. There is a very vast and huge materials available on internet and many books are there for chemical engineering. If chemical engineering is your passion then you can get success in this field (with right guidance) from any college whether it's RV college of engineering or some iit.

If your passion and interest is in chemical engineering then you are not doing any mistake by taking chemical engineering in rv college of engineering.
But if your subject of interest is not chemical engineering then you can not get success even if you study at any iit or any other top college.

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs as per previous year's cut-offs but I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks. Now as you have already taken 1 year drop so I would not recommend you take drop again and you should go with some colleges like :-

  • Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore
  • MIT Pune
  • School of Engineering, UPES Dehradun
  • RTU Kota
  • Bikaner technical university

For complete list of colleges which you can get on such low ranks refer to the link given below :-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/low-jee-main-rank-check-which-colleges-you-can-get/amp

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

I hope this information helps you.
