Traditionally, art and technology were considered separate entities. However, due to the development of technology in the digital age, art and technology are now influencing each other. In the Art and Design in the Digital Age online course, you will learn about how contemporary artists and designers use technology to create imaginative art. These applications include image processing, social networks, flash mobs, immersive virtual environments, and much more.
Art and Design in the Digital Age by edX is a 12-week training programme that has been created and produced by Shenkar- Engineering, Design, Art. The course instructor is Dr. Lee Weinberg from IsraelX. To complete this course, you need to devote about 4-5 hours per week. This is an intermediate course. So while there aren’t any prerequisites, a degree in relevant fields like Art History, Art, Design, etc., will be helpful.
