Hello there,
In most government medical colleges , staying in the hostel is not always compulsory for MBBS students. However, this can vary depending on the college rules:
Mandatory Hostel Stay
: Some colleges make it compulsory for MBBS students to stay in the hostel, especially during the first year, for better discipline, academic focus, and safety.
Optional Hostel Stay
: In many colleges, students are allowed to stay outside the campus in rented accommodations after seeking permission from the administration.
Living with Family : If the college does not mandate hostel stay, you and your wife can live together in rented housing. You might need to provide a written application or undertake responsibility for living off-campus.
Check the specific rules of your medical college by consulting the administrative office or student handbook.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
