Very standard nothing extraordinary

Batch of Jan. 1, 2016 | MS General Surgery
I have done 9 yrs both MS and MBBS from this college, the teaching standard is amazingly better than most colleges in India, hands-on surgery in not at par to state colleges , BHU is awesome and lots of extracurricular activities can be done! Barring that Varanasi is not much and not at all comparable to any standard metro.MBBS is a pleasure to be done from this institute the academic programme is excellent and regular studies guarantees a perfect base here.for post graduation the performance is falling behind all other metros and the aura of BHU is falling. The bottom line is for MBBS definitely go for it but for MS surgery plz compare or consider state colleges , again the teaching and regular seminars case presentations put you well on an academic map but the hands on and the ward management and routine are frustrating at times. The number and types and difficulty of cases are also not at par! It's a central institute so the salary for postgraduates is good plus the new trauma center is probably biggest in the country so new opportunities are around the corner for this college! One problem that should be mentioned is the frequent attacks by goons of art college BHU which are politically motivated and BHU does short to nothing about it!
