IGIMS Patna Admission Process

Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna offers MBBS, MD, M.Ch and DM Courses in medicine. It also offers courses in paramedical at diploma and degree level. To get an admission to MBBS candidates have to appear for the NEET-UG entrance exam, conducted by National Testing Academy (NTA) and obtain a valid score. They also need to register for the counselling conducted by IGIMS.

IGIMS, Patna admission to MD/MS and PhD is granted through NEET-PG entrance exam, conducted by National Testing Academy (NTA) and obtain a valid score. Candidates also have to register themselves for the state level NEET counselling. For admission to super speciality courses, candidates need to register themselves for the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) constituted by the Government of India. The admission to paramedical degree and diploma courses is based on the entrance exam conducted by IGIMS. MBBS	NEET	Candidates should have completed class 12/ Higher Secondary examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects. Candidates must have attained 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission.	120
GNM	Entrance exam conducted by the institute	Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English and secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Those with a 10+2 qualification in English and a minimum of 40% marks in the vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council are eligible. Registered ANMs with a pass mark are also eligible to apply. For foreign nationals, the equivalence of the entry qualification (class 12) will be determined by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The responsibility to ensure that the qualification and eligibility align with the prescribed standards lies with the institution and State Nursing Council.	50
BSc Nursing		Candidates must have passed class 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects and have secured 45% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have attained an age of 17 years as on December 31 in the year of admission. Candidates should be medically fit.	50
Post Basic BSc Nursing		Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 are also eligible to apply.	40

PhD	-	Candidates must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field. Candidates who have completed M.Phil coursework with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for reserved category) and have obtained the M.Phil degree are eligible. Candidates who have completed M.Phil dissertations however, viva voce is pending are also eligible. Candidates holding degrees equivalent to the Indian M.Phil. degree from foreign educational institutions accredited by authorized assessment and accreditation agencies are also eligible for admission	29

Candidates have to apply and appear for NEET SS exam.
A merit list will be prepared by the authorities for shortlisting candidates.
Further, the aspirants have to participate in the counselling conducted by IGIMS.
Final admission will be based on the marks secured in the entrance exam, participation in the counselling process, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

IGIMS, Patna Admission Process for BSc, BSc Nursing, BSc Post Basic Nursing and Diploma Courses

Candidates need to submit their application at IGIMS.
They have to appear for the institution level entrance exam.
The merit list is prepared, giving weightage to percentile obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam and availability of seats.

which college is better for mbbs igims patna or pmch patna?

Dear aspirant

As both colleges are situated in patna and are almost of the same level. If you ask according to academic and facilities it is better in igims as it is semi government college. If you ask about patients reach then it is more in PMCH than the igims as pmch is the oldest and there's patients comes from every district of bihar but patients reach is also too good for igims and it is more than enough to learn you about your subject. As IGIMS is semi government college so you will have to pay some Higher tution fee as compared to PMCH so this can be your deciding factor or otherwise both colleges are best in bihar you can choose any one of them according to your comfortablity.

Dear aspirant !!

Hope you are doing great ! Yes, it's very common ,you can go out but there are some rules and regulations also which you need to follow also. You have to follow discipline also . You can go out during the fixed time interval. By permission or whenever they will permit you ,you can go out.

Patna Medical College (PMC) located in Patna, Bihar is a government college and offers many courses like MBBS (total fees- Rs 47.55K), MD Paediatrics, MD General Medicine, MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MS General Surgery, MS Opthalmology, Post Graduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MD Pathology and many more.

The infrastructure is very good. The college has facilities like library, classrooms, hospital with plenty of beds, hostel and so on.

The teachers are qualified, cooperative and teaches very well. After completing 4.5 years of MBBS, one needs to do a mandatory internship of stipend of around Rs 15000 per month.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences(IGIMS) is located in Patna, Bihar is a government college. It offers many courses like MBBS(total fees- Rs 4.25L), B.Sc Nursing (total fees- Rs 1.38L), GNM, Post B.Sc Nursing, Diploma in OT Assistant Technology, MD Anaesthesia, B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology and many other courses.

The college has nice infrastructure. It offers facilities like hostel, library, cafeteria, sports and many more.

The faculty members are experienced and student friendly. One year mandatory internship is provided with stipend of around Rs 20000 to 25000 per month.
