Have a question related to M.D. ?

To get admission in a private medical college for MD course in India, you must first qualify NEET-PG conducted by NBE. After qualifying, you need to register for state or All India counseling through MCC or respective state counseling authorities. During counseling, you can choose private colleges and MD specializations. Admission is based on your NEET-PG rank, seat availability, and reservation policies. Fees in private colleges are usually higher (15–60 lakhs per year depending on the college and branch).

With your 115 mark getting into need PG in South India medical colleges is really hard and impossible because you usually need higher cut off to get into any other medical college if you have I am ask you will get into government college if you have mid level marks you will get into private in institution

Hey:)

Thanks for reaching out!

With 115 marks in NEET PG, it's highly unlikely to get admission into MD paediatrics in any South Indian Medical college, whether government or private .The reason is that the qualifying cutoff itself is much higher, In recent years general category candidates needed atleast 280-300 above just to qualify, and even reserved Categories required more than 200.On top of that MD paediatrics is high-demand branch and the closing rank in South India are usually above 400-500.So,If you're really interested in pursuing MD paediatrics, it would be a good idea to consider preparing again and aim for 400+ in your next attempt.

All the best!

After MD Pharm, people work as faculty in medical colleges, in clinical research/clinical trials, regulatory affairs, medical writing/medical affairs with pharma/CROs, and in drug safety roles. Academic salaries are steady; industry roles (PV/MA/CR) often pay more and grow faster.

With a NEET PG 2025 rank of 97,000 (General category), getting an MD in TB & Chest Medicine in a deemed university in Tamil Nadu will be very difficult.

  • Cutoff trends: In previous years, clinical branches like MD TB & Chest, MD Medicine, MD Pediatrics, MD Radiology, MD Dermatology usually close by 20,000–40,000 rank even in deemed universities.

  • At 97k rank, most clinical MD/MS seats will not be available, especially in high-demand specialties like TB & Chest.

  • What you can expect: Mostly non-clinical subjects (like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology) and possibly some para-clinical seats (like Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pathology) in deemed universities with higher fees.

MD TB & Chest in Tamil Nadu deemed universities is not possible at 97k rank in 2025.
