About TISSNET 2019
Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducted TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences – National Entrance Test) for batch 2019-2021 in online mode on January 13, 2019. The result has been declared on February 11, 2019. Only the eligible candidates could apply in any of the 55 post-graduate degree programmes that are offered by TISS. The programmes are offered at five (5) of its centres that are – TISS Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai (Banyan), Guwahati and Tuljapur. TISSNET 2019 had objective type questions that included four sections namely General Awareness, Maths & Logical Reasoning and English Proficiency. All the shortlisted candidates in the online test have to undergo Pre-Interview Test/Group Discussion and Personal Interview for final selection. TISSNET 2019 was conducted at various test centres across the country.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences decides the TISSNET 2019 eligibility criteria for the aspirants. It is essential for the candidates to know the eligibility criteria, before applying for TISSNET to avoid any rejection at later stages. The eligibility criteria for TISSNET 2019 is as follows:
- Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination can apply for TISSNET 2019 but they need to submit their final year examination result on the date prescribed by the exam conducting body. Until then the admission will be provisional and if a candidate fails to do so, the admission will be cancelled.
- Candidates with three years’ of undergraduate degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply
- Also, candidates who are in 3rd or 4th year of the degree programme and must have passed in all the subjects from semester 1 to 4 and semester 1 to 6 respectively to apply for TISSNET 2019.

TISSNET application form 2019 was available online as well as in offline modes. The application form was released on October 30, 2018, and the registration closed on December 12, at 6 pm. Candidates must have kept the following points in mind when filling the TISSNET 2019 application form:
- Candidates have to upload all the required documents and certificates while filling the application form of TISSNET 2019
- Candidates can apply for three programmes in any of the two campuses of TISS.
- They can apply for all the three programmes in one application form and have to pay the application fee for all the three courses. They must not fill more than one form or else it might lead to cancellation of all the application form.

- Income certificate (SC/ST/OBC–NC) in pdf format
- Caste certificate for SC/ST and non-creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates in pdf format
- Certificate of disability for differently-abled candidates in pdf format
- TISS copy of challan if paid by cash
How to apply for TISSNET 2019 – Online mode
Candidates who are applying online have to do the registration by entering a valid email id and phone number. Soon after registration, candidates will receive login credentials which have to use for login and then filling the application form. After registration, they need to log in and have to enter their basic details, educational details, and the name of the programme they wish to apply for. After completing this step, they need to pay the application fee either by depositing cash in any SBI branch or by using credit/debit card and net banking. The application fee will depend upon the number of programmes they have applied for. Also, candidates have to upload their photograph, signature and other necessary documents/certificates. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the application form for future reference.
How to apply for TISSNET 2019 - Offline mode
Candidates who are not able to access the internet or stays in remote areas can fill the TISSNET 2019 application form in offline mode by taking a printout of the form. They also have to follow the same procedure as given to the online applicants. Candidates can pay the application fee in cash at any branch of SBI. Attach all the required documents and paste the photograph. TISSNET 2019 Preparation Tips
All the interested candidates who want to qualify TISSNET must go through the exam pattern and prepare accordingly. Candidates must also solve previous years’ question papers and take mock tests for better results. TISSNET 2019 will include questions from English, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. Candidates are advised to read newspapers, stay updated about the latest events and practice class 10th, and 12th Maths. Students should keep the following preparation points in mind:
- Make a proper schedule and follow it
- Candidates should start with the easiest portion as that will motivate them to practice further
- Take proper sleep
- Do not stress yourself
- Keep the last few months for revision
TISSNET 2019 exam pattern states that it is a computer-based national level entrance test which consists of multiple choice questions based on Maths and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and English Proficiency. Candidates must go through the exam pattern of TISSNET 2019 for better preparation and understanding of the type of questions asked in the exam. The time duration given to the candidates is 1 hour 40 minutes. Candidates who have applied for more than one programme will have to answer one single question paper. The exam will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks. There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer.

Admit card of TISSNET 2019 was released by Tata Institute of Social Sciences in online mode separately for all the stages of the selection procedure. All the candidates who had successfully completed and submitted the application process received the admit card of TISSNET 2019 from December 29, 2018, onward. The admit card could be downloaded by entering email ID and password that was generated at the time of registration. Candidates were not allowed to appear in the exam without their TISSNET 2019 admit card. Also, candidates had to take one photo identity card such as voter id, aadhaar card, passport, PAN card to the exam centre. The admit card had details like name, photograph, signature, the address of the venue, time of the exam, and name of programme applied for. Admit card of TISSNET 2019 was not sent via post. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must contact the authorities to get that corrected.

Academic experts did the exam analysis of TISSNET MBA 2019 after the exam was conducted on January 13. The computer-based entrance exam for the postgraduate degree in Human Resource (HRM) programme was of 100 minutes duration with 100 questions. This year, the difficulty level of TISSNET MBA test was moderately-tough. There was no negative marking for the incorrect responses. GK was a bit on the tougher side this year while the English section was easy. The Reasoning section was moderately tough on the difficulty scale.
The result of TISSNET 2019 has been announced on February 11, 2019, instead of February 4, 2019. The result was supposed to be announced at 8 PM but due to some technical glitches, it got a bit delayed. The final result after the selection rounds will be declared on April 22, 2019. Candidates can check their TISSNET result 2019 on the official website by using their email id and password. They can also check if they have been shortlisted for the pre-interview test and personal interview. Shortlisted candidates for TISSNET 2019 would need to physically be present for the original document verification and payment of fees which would commence on April 24 and will continue until May 8, 2019. After the PIT, GD and PI rounds, the final result of TISSNET 2019 will be announced, declaring the list of selected students.
All the appearing candidates have to secure more than or equal to the TISSNET 2019 cutoff in order to go for the next round of selection procedure. The cutoff of TISSNET varies for each category. Candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks in TISSNET 2019 will be short-listed for next round of selection process namely-pre-interview test/group discussion and personal interview.
TISS selection process 2019 will include three stage – NET (National Entrance Test), PIT (Pre – Interview Test) and PI (Personal Interview). Candidates need to do well in all the stages of the TISSNET 2019 selection process. The weightage given to each exam is given below -

TISSNET (National Entrance Test) 2019
To get admission into TISS, candidates have to qualify the first stage of the TISSNET 2019 selection process that is NET. They need to secure at least 45% (for others) and 35% (for SC/ST) in the TISSNET 2019 exam. All the qualifying candidates in TISSNET 2019 will be called for the next round, that is PIT.
Candidates shortlisted in TISSNET 2019 will have to undergo the second stage of the selection process of TISS that is PIT (Pre-Interview Test). This stage consist of a written test and also candidates are tested on their communication skills and analytical ability. For some programmes, group-discussion will also take place.
After the pre-interview test, candidates have to appear for a personal interview where they will be asked questions related to their course, academic details, work experience if any.
If shortlisted in TISSNET 2019, candidates have to undergo all the stages of the selection process and have to give their best for final selection.
