Hello aspirant,

The percentile required to secure admission into top colleges like COEP and VJTI under the J&K migration quota in Maharashtra can vary depending on the number of applicants and the availability of seats. However, historically, students with a percentile in the high 80s or low 90s have been able to secure admission into these colleges.

To ensure that you have the best chance of securing a seat, it is advisable to apply for multiple colleges and courses within your preferred branch. Additionally, it is important to carefully review the eligibility criteria and application process for each college to ensure that you have all the necessary documents and meet the requirements.

Regarding your second question, yes, you will need to fill in the J&K migration category both on the application form and during the CAP counseling process. This will ensure that you are considered for the reserved seats under this category.

I hope this information helps you.

With the J&K migration quota in Maharashtra, your chances of getting into top colleges like COEP (College of Engineering Pune) and VJTI (Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute) will depend on your MHT CET percentile and the specific cutoffs for the J&K migrant category. Historically, students with percentiles above 95+ have had a strong chance of securing seats in these prestigious colleges, especially in high-demand branches like Computer Science or Electronics.

However, cutoffs can fluctuate yearly based on factors such as the number of applicants and seat availability. Given your reservation status, your eligibility for top colleges improves, but achieving a high percentile is still crucial for securing competitive branches.

Regarding the application process, yes, you must select the "J&K Migrant" category while filling out the MHT CET application form and during CAP (Centralized Admission Process) counselling. This ensures you are considered under this specific reservation category, which is designed to provide special admission benefits to students from J&K. Make sure to provide the necessary documentation during the verification process to confirm your eligibility for the quota.

hope this helps you!!
