getting a private college is the only possibilty on the basis of JEE exam. THE STUDENT intake is 60 in AVBGIET and it is a government college too. It has not have any specific closing ranks even. You can apply for it and give some other options for which you are enough sure that you will get it. better not to take risk. look for good private college and take an admission.
